Hostal Le Foyer by Edge Hostels Reviews

Currently under construction, so it was pretty loud at times (for some reason the guy was using a power drill at 2 am), but other than that a great place to stay. Super nice hot showers, a decent breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the street, and super friendly and helpful staff. Wifi is fantastic by Peruvian standards.

The morning we arrived the hostel was closed by the city and due to open the next day, the hostel was already closed down when booked the room through Hostelword.com which feels wrong. They arranged a night in another hotel but the breakfast was bad and our hot shower did not work. Back at the hostel they promissed a 50% discount on our second night, but at time of checkout they told us the manager did not want them to give the discount! So we left having a 5% discount.

Good location, not much of a social vibe in the hostal! Nice breakfast.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at Le Foyer for 2 nights and we absolutely loved it. The owner Henry was super friendly and helpful, and even joined us on a rafting trip. he helped us book tours, and our next bus. The rooms very very cozy and clean, and the rain showers were quite refreshing and unexpected for a backpacker's hostel. The building itself was beautiful, with a large outdoor chill space. The Hostal was also connected to a great "nun" bar. We highly recommend Le Foyer!

I have a great time on the Hostel's new years celebration!! Very clean and the staff is awesome!! 100% recommended!!
