Great location and friendly staff. Noisy at night but earplugs help a bit.

Beautiful hostel with a view from the roof terrace overlooking the whole of Arequipa making for some incredible sunsets. Rooms were clean and staff friendly although they didn't speak a lot of English. Chilled atmosphere was perfect for what I was looking for as I didn't want a party hostel. Great location and can easily walk to most things the town has to offer.
Le Foyer was very clean and very nice. Close to the Plaza del Armes but still far enough away that it is quiet at night. Eggs with your toast in the morning. Wifi was excellent throughout the hostel and each room had cable TV. Very easy to organize tours through the front desk. Only thing was that there is no individual lockers to lock up valuables.
Paid upon arrival and when we checked out the same staff who took our money when we arrived claimed we had not paid and we were forced to pay again. Otherwise the location is awesome And the hostel is very clean.
VERY nice hostel for a great price! The staff is incredibly helpful and nice, some are bilingual! Nice hot showers and rooms that stay nice & cool. They CAN do your laundry. Breakfast was great, complete with coffee/tea, fresh bread, juice, fruit, and a weird egg/hot dog combination. Good nonetheless! It is family friendly so there might be little kids around. It's not a party hostel, but located on top of a bar & surrounded by tons of bars & clubs. Definitely recommend this hostel!
The front door was broken most of our trip, and earplugs were definitely necessary, we also booked a 4 bed dorm (traveling in a group of 4) and were given a 3 bed dorm (they don't have 4 bed dorms), so 2 had to share, but the location was perfect!!
The location was very excellent, located in the center of downtown and very close to bars. Our room was right on the street so it got quite noisy during the night. We also didnt have hot shower for the first two days of our stay.
Ok. When I arrived to Arequipa, it was a "huelga" in the city. I saw the police and some people fighting In the middle of the street. The hostel has a good location because it is I the corner of bars and clubs. The facilities are not has expected. It is good to stay one night, no more.
Very nice hostel on an excellent location. The only thing we didn't liked was the loud music pumping through the street and our room. The lamp on the ceiling was shaking because of the bass. The rest was fine. Nice view from the rooftop and okay breakfast.
We had a great stay at Le Foyer. A little noise on Sat. Night from night club. Staff and location are ranked as one of the best in our experience.
Centrally located hostel close to main square and right amongst the nightlife. The hostel maintains a no noise after 11pm policy but sometimes the surrounding area is very loud (depends on your room). Very good wifi. Staff are friendly but not able to help so much other than basic requests (if you speak Spanish it may be different) Able to store your stuff whilst you go on multi day hikes. It would be good to have lockers in the rooms and a mop in the bathrooms to dry the floor after your shower
This is a beautiful place to stay, the staff are constantly cleaning, breakfast was yum and the rooms are great with a balcony to sit and people watch. Felt like more of a hotel than hostel. Unfortunately we didn't sleep a wink either nights we stayed due to the nightclub underneath the hostel. Such a shame for the owners who do a wonderful job at keeping the place lovely. Wouldn't go back due to this reason, I like my sleep too much!
Super helpful staff, very friendly and great location. Be very specific to taxi drivers - look at the map first! Hostel is half an ove a club so you will be rocked to sleep by the bass if you stay over a weekend.
Overall it was a good experience. We were there during heavy water so the rain was pooling in our room and we could see watermarks on the bed frame from previous rains. Also, the first morning we were there the hot water ran out and the last morning there was no electricity. But they held our bags for a few days while we did a tour so that was nice. It can be quite noisy at night from neighboring places. Wireless worked well in the rooms.
Great Hostel, near by the Plaza de Armas and close to the parties. Can be a little loud because of the streets, so prefer the rooms on the back. Great breakfast!
