Amazing hostel. Feels like a home not a hostel. Great if you want to party and feel apart of a family!

Cute, well located hostel. Various bars and a big supermarket are near the hostel. The rooms are spacious and the beds are the best I had so far. Breakfast should be better. Staff is ok.

It's a great place to meet people, the staff always helps you, is cheap and is very close from bars and pubs or buses lines, it has a realy good breakfast but it isn't very clean, just a detail... I enjoyed my time there... Es un buen lugar para conocer gente, el staff siempre te ayuda, es barato y está cerca de los bares y pubs o líneas de bus. El desayuno es muy bueno pero no es muy limpio el lugar, pequeño detalle... lo pasé bien ahí....

I spent 4 days at Hostel Licanantay and was thoroughly impressed. I have stayed in many hostels before, and I can safely say that this is one of the best! I felt very welcome as soon as we set foot through the door. The staff are kind, attentive and very helpful. Organized events such a BBQ's create a happy and sociable atmosphere -fantastic for making new friends. The rooms are spacious and very secure and there are clean facilities for everyone. All in all, great value for money!

No outside areas so if you want to smoke have to stand on the street. Otherwise reasonable hostel, you get what you pay for.

If you like run-down hostels that are run like sharehouses, staff that smoke inside communal areas, bloodstained bedding without covers, and loud music that plays in every corner of the hostel at every hour of the night, then this is the place for you. This is the first hostel I have stayed at after 4 months backpacking South America where I have left to find somewhere else. I wanted to checkout & talk to staff at 10:45am the next day, no staff were out of bed yet. You´ve been warned.

I can't fault this place. The staff were really attentive, friendly and knowledgable. I meant to stay for one day but extended to a week. It felt like home away from home- loaded with heaps of fun and a lovely crew of people who are now friends. The location is awesome, I am so glad this isn't a hostel at the top of the hill, (that would be annoying.) This place has a lot of character, it's not a 5 star hotel and doesn't try to be, it's warm, friendly and I will be back!

One word - FILTHY! Don't stay here if you have any sense of cleanliness or value your sleep. I've travelled through South America for 5 months and stayed in a variety of places of different standards and haven't experienced filth like here. Not to mention the broken beds and lack of sheets/pillow cases. The Chilean department of health have let travellers down by not closing this place down! Enough said!

Funky little hostel. Good for a party to meet people and to relax have a pisco or two. Run by some travelers so pretty sweet but only head there if you like to party a lil. Beds spacious and comfy. Breaky is good too.

we stayed over new year. it was a complete mess and chaos. however the atmosphere along the travelers was good. so if you want to party and not go to bed before 7am this is the place to stay. if you don't - stay somewhere else.

A great lively and social hostel. Folks looking for a calm and quiet place might not like the noise and partying though.
