One of the best hostals we've stayed in, good value for money. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast good - something different everyday which included some pancakes. Internet access if you've got your own laptop. Their excursion to the lagoons and salt flats also very good - the driver (Segundinio) was very responsible and the food very nice.

We only stayed one night, but room was very nice, with a lockable draw, breakfast was standard and staff were helpful. A little out of the main centre, but only a short walk.

Great little hostal, cannot complain about anything at all! Place was clean and more than value for money! We did our salt flats trip through here and we would definitely recommend others do the same! Couldn't have asked for better guide in Francisco and chef in his wife Philly! They were perfect! All in all a very succesful stay and fantastic tour!

Despite being a little walk from town the hostel is a great place to stay. Although there is limited Internet you have to remember where you are and take that into context. The family are very friendly and helpful and organise a fabulous Salar de Uyuni trip which we can't recommend highly enough. This a great family run hostel, with the staff very helpful and attentive. The rooms are well equipped with private bathrooms with plenty of hot water and very clean.

Not really a hostel but a hotel. No dorm rooms - all private doubles, singles, triples etc. Staff really nice. We booked the 5 hour horse riding with them and can recommend it. Awesome. Breakfast was just 2 rolls with jam and coffee but all served in matching china with table service which was nice. Located about 10 minute walk from bus station on the other side of the river but only a short walk into town. We arrived at 7am from an overnight bus and were able to check in straight away.

Best things about the hostal was the tour of the Salares with Panchito and Filimini. Would wholeheartedly recommend them as tour guides (if you speak a bit of spanish). No wifi in the hostal

What a wonderful hostel! Great rooms and showers, and a nice breakfast that is different everyday. The tour they offer is one of the few ones that still limits the number of people in the jeep to 4 guests, a driver, and a cook. In fact, we specifically went to them because the tour was recommended as safe and professional. Do your salt flats tour here! Great horseback riding trip as well for a total steal of 150 blvos for 5 hours. Thanks, Los Salares!

Nice family run hostel with all the necessities. They also run a great three night (four day) tour of the salt flats ending in uyuni. Definitely highly recommend both the hostel and the tour. Really great stay!

Only stayed here one night but the hostel was clean with good facilities and a nice breakfast. The biggest plus is the Salt Flats tour they organise, it's better then that offered by the big companies in that it's personal, restricted to 4 people in a car and better value. Guide was excellent and got us to places ahead of everybody else. Only downside is it's location but it takes 10 mins at a stroll.

Decent rooms and breakfast, but on the outskirts of town despite not being too far from the bus station. We took a taxi from the bus station at 3am and got charged 10Bol even though it was more likely worth 2Bol (very short ride)..the owner agreed with the taxi driver and told us it was common. There´s no fridge in the kitchen, and they won´t give you breakfast earlier if you are leaving for a salt flats tour in the morning. cold showers.

Clean, friendly, a home away from home. Great place to stay before the stressful Salar Trip. Their tour company is fantastic, highly recommend. A little farther away from town, but it's quiet and the town itself is very safe.

Great hostel, a 5 minute walk from town. Fantastic value for money and we really enjoyed the salt flats tour and horse riding trip that we organised with the hostel. Really recommend this place.

Tupiza is a very low key town, and this hostel is ideal. The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly. Clean and tidy, decent breakfast. Also has the best shower in South America!

We had a great stay at this hostel. Rooms are lovely, clean and modern. Beds comfy, showers hot, breakfast adequate. Staff always polite, friendly and helpful...and even invited us to their Christmas lunch!

tupiza is a quite town so an overly social hostel shouldn't be expected, with that said hostal los salares is a perfect choice for the town. it is just a short 5 minute walk from the bus station, the rooms are quite, clean, and ensuite which is a welcomed luxury for backpackers. the showers are hot, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. they waited for us to wake up one morning to serve our breakfast, just lovely people.

This is the best hostel I have stayed in. The guys that run it are amazing, as are the facilities and amenities you get for such a good price. It was the best room we have had, the breakfast was lovely, it`s a little bit out of Tupiza but the walk is lovely and they will come and pick you up at any time from the bus or train station (even if you give them the wrong time!). I cannot rate this hostel high enough!

Can´t recommed this place enough. Great staff, lovely quiet location with stunning views, comfortable clean rooms and their Salt Flats tour is exceptional. Its a family run business so they take great pride in their hostel and the quality of the tour they offer. It is only 5 mins outside town which is a benefit rather than a curse due to the tranquility it offers. In all a wonderful stay and we were sorry to leave.
