The staff are very friendly. My travel companion and i speak no Spanish, and whatever they couldn't convey to us was made up profusely with plenty of smiles and sign language. Great hostel, but absolutely no where in Guatemala City is safe. A man was shot (killed) outside the hostel while I stayed there, and stray gunfire entered the hostel. No confirmation whether this was a random robbery or targeted violence. Great hostel, but absolutely no where in Guatemala City is safe. The staff was supurb. I had to get up early the next morning and be taken to the bus station and they were excellent at providing that service. They ere very friendly.The staff was supurb.
