The lights suddenly went out at 1130 but apart from this, not too bad. Dorms were spacious and this helped to ensure a good night's sleep. The lights suddenly went out at 1130 but apart from this, not too bad. I´m not sure why the reviews seem to be somewhat negative because I had a really nice stay at Hostal Mindanao. It has more of a hotel vibe than a hostel (it's quiet and there isn't really anywhere to meet people), but if you're looking for somewhere nice to stay in Salamanca, this is it. Good location, clean, and the staff was incredibly helpful. I stayed here while looking for an apartment and the owner went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. Muchas gracias!I´m not sure why the reviews seem to be somewhat negative because I had a really nice stay at Hostal Mindanao. Very good if somewhat bland place to stay. Definetly no frills, but for a double ensuite for just over £20 a night it was incredibly good value for money. The staff were very helpful in helping us find places and it was just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Salamanca. Good for those on budget, but not if you intend to spend a lot of time in your room.Very good if somewhat bland place to stay. this place was shocking, the bathroom was horrible. there was chalky stuff coming off the walls. it had a horrible mouldy smell to the room and the bed was very uncomfortable. its located outside of old town aswell. i expected waaaaay more for the price you pay. was not impressed..this place was shocking, the bathroom was horrible. there was chalky stuff coming off the walls. it had a horrible mouldy smell to the room and the bed was very uncomfortable. its located outside of old town aswell. i expected waaaaay more for the price you pay. was not impressed.....Close Read Owner Comments

Good hostel, not far from center, though its such a small town, everything is close. Staff was helpful and considerate-- even let us store our bags for a few hours.
Bus num 11 takes you down the same st the hostel is on. Very easy to get to from Train station.
I\'d stay here again, but might choose somewhere in the center of the city. Overall good though!Good hostel, not far from center, though its such a small town, everything is close. Staff was helpful and considerate-- even let us store our bags for a few hours.
