Besides the location (but every other hostel is also in a good location because Granada is so small) this was a very average hostel. Staff are average and try to scam your money, rooms are HOT and the one dodgy fan they try to provide won't even begin to help. There are better places for your money. Go elsewhere.

We booked a private room with bathroom for pretty cheap, even if it was the last thing available in town because of the poetry festival. Good value for money, nice jacuzzi.

Hostel Mochila is in a good location, very close to the park. The place has a shared kitchen and a small jacuzzi sized "pool". I never used it. Our room location wasn't great. the door and windows were part of the kitchen and main common area. It was very hot. I would request an "outdoor" room. The rooms are basic and electricity goes out often. They play loud music until about 10pm. It's a place to stay, no more, no less. We stayed 2 nights then moved to the main street for less w/more comfort.

Great hostel in a great location with cool staff and great hang out areas and friendly cats. Granada was our favourite town in Central America so far and this hostel made it even better. Muchas gracias!

Hostel is ok. Nothing fancy, really calm so if you want to be alone no one is annoying there. Do not take their ''shuttle service'' for the airport. They just call some friends and make you pay the price of a taxi. The woman at the reception told me it was 20$ (same price as a cab) When I got to the airport the guy told me it was 35$. Tryed to talk with him to make him understand it was 20$, he got angry. I ended up paying 30$ for a 20$ ride. Avoid. Only take this hostel if everything is full.

hi there, sorry for the misunderstanding but there is no cab in granada who takes you to the airport for only 20$. if you ask around the normal price for 1 persons is between 35$ and 40$ I dont know where o who told you that is would be 20$ even in the informacion book we have at the recicion the price mentioned is 35$ with 2 persons its 20$ each still hope you had a good time in granada. regards

The dorm was very hot, day and night..

A really central hostel which made for great value for money compared to other hostels and hotels in the area. It had a really nice relaxed vibe and decent facilities for cooking to make the place feel like home. The dorms were really hot even with the fans on do not sure there's much they can do about that but its a warm city so you can't complain too much and it certainly didn't put me off staying there.

Maybe it was just a slow night but nothing special. Friendly staff but nothing fantastic. Rooms were hot with poor circulation. Location is superb and very cheap for nightly stay.

Nice hostel with good location. It even has a pool! :) but the staff speak no English what's so ever. The rooms feels super hot, not very ventilated.

Staff spoke no English, although it was advertised in their bio that they do. Spent the entire night sweating in a private room, itching from ants and mosquitos crawling all over. Chill garden vibe and very close to all the fun bars and restaurants. Not a bad place to stay if you don't mind the bugs.

We had a great time in Grenada. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was clean and the atmosphere was friendly. I highly recommend staying there if you are in Grenada

Dorm room too hot. Had to leave door open for fresh air. Average hostal. Could use a touch of tender loving care.

An averagely good hostel with a cool garden inside with hammocks to rest. The kitchen was OK and the jaccuzy at the back was really appreciated. Unfortunately the beds from the dorm are terrible and as hard as wood (there is actually a plank of wood below the matress...). Probably the worst bed I've ever had in 6 months spent throughout South America.

Unfortunately, I went from a super clean guest house where everyone spoke English to this hostel where English speaking staff was in short supply and things were looking worn and frayed. Although it did look like some new sheets had been purchased recently -they just did not quite fit the beds. If you are a German or Spanish speaker you will probably be quite happy here. Also, it looked like there was some "pretend cleaning going on here." The owner needs to look at her staff and watch them.

The owner Dana is very knowledgeable and helps out within the local community running numerous schemes to help the children. Heart of gold and she is more than willing to assist you in all your needs. The other staff were really friendly and helpful especially Louis - a remarkable guy who we really took to. A lot of other travellers didn't seem to make any attempt to talk to the staff and when we did the appreciation showed and they bend over backwards to help.
