the rooms are really tiny with no ventilationl!! you have to go in a maize to discover your room... our neighbors were making out so loud that we were unable to sleep due to the noise and the suffocation. Next... my friend had to leave her suitcase, in the luggage room coz she had a late flight to catch in the evening. and the woman at the reception refused to keep the luggage. she was extremely rude and insensitve. seems like a brothel to me!! so please think twice before you book!!
To be honest when I booked the hostel I mostly booked to for location and that's all I really got. I found the staff a bit surly and I don't think they smiled at me even once. The room was what I expected but I'm not sure why this is classed as a hostel since there is no common room or anything. When I wanted to leave my bag in storage for 5 hours the receptionist sort of grumbled and moaned then accepted grudgingly.
The hostel is very near the Atocha train station, which can get you to the airport quickly, It was a pleasant 20 to 25 minute walk to the Plaza Mayor. Our Double bed room was quite small but completely adequate. WiFi just barely picked up in our room. Hostel staff didn't speak much English, enough to get by, and there is no common space at this hostel. However, safe, clean, and friendly.
