I had the most relaxing sleep of my life listening to the river rush forth between the mountain gorges. I was puzzled that nobody cleaned my room the following day.

Hot water and even running water not available at times but if you wait comes back on. Breakfast good with juice, bread, banana, cereal, jams, butter and a range of hot drinks, tea, coffee, milo etc. Staff friendly and helpful, but no one spoke English during our two nights. WIFI worked well. We enjoyed the sound from the stream at night. A small town so location not so important, 300 metre walk takes you anywhere. Towels and soap supplied, room cleaned each day but two towels replaced with one.

Beautiful! I did notice that my room had bedside lamps and a small safe whereas my travel companion's had neither. Right on the river and next to a nice arcade. Closer to the hot spring entrance than most places. Delicious juices, fruit, cereals, breads (and tea/coffee if you want) for breakfast. There were more breakfast things coming out as we were leaving to get the first bus up to Machu Picchu!
