Ideal location. Staff couldn't speak a word on english which made things a bit difficult. Very clean, great value for money and loads of leaflets of things to do in Madrid. Would highly recommend Hostal Oliver!!
Very cheap and well located good hostel. The only down-point is that the internet didn't get to the room.
The staff can only speak a little English.
It´s not actually a hostel, there`s no commom area, nor kitchen. We waited around 10 minutes outside because the receptionist was not there. Walls were very thin and we could hear everything from other rooms. Bedroom was small, but ok, with airconditioner, tv and nice and clean shower. Very good located!
The hostal is not very easy to find - it only has a small sign over the door. The location is unbeatable, smack in the middle of Madrid nightlife and a walking distance to many major sights, but it has a downside: despite the double glazing, it is very noisy outside, especially on a Friday or Saturday, so don't forget your earplugs. Other than that it's nice and clean, the rooms are small and basic but rather well-equipped (including an AC with heating - March nights can be pretty cold).
Well located next to the Puerta do Sol. Main complaint is that the wi-fi and Tv signal is very weak
