Hostal Paris Reviews

I think it's a great summer hostel, but it's not preparated for opening in winter. There isn't warm water or blankets or heating. We were very cold. Anyway, the place is heartaking! Cap de Formentor, near to the hostel, is best landscape of Mallorca, I guess.

Hostel is clearly work in progress...cold showers, ongoing construction during the day, etc. But i can see the potential. I have not stayed in any other hostels in Mallorca, but for comparison, for the same price in Barcelona you get a much, much better hostel. BTW, I am an experienced backpacker and have visited hundreds of hotels over the years.

Hostal Paris has a great vibe and the new owners are putting a lot of soul into the place after what appears to be years of neglect. The rooms are simple and clean with comfortable beds & clean sheets. The bathroom is okay...definitely acceptable. I was there for 3 days and everyday something new was installed or painted. Sunday nights - live music. Plus it's walking distance to everything and Marketa and Jurgen are happy to point you in the right direction with their local knowledge.

Note for previous reviews, this hostel has recently new owners. We had a lovely time, very friendly atmosphere, well located close to beach. The breakfast was better than any other hostel/hotel we visited on Mallorca. Think it will be even better as the new owners promised homemade bread and fruits and generally wanted to make this place very special. More than anything it was VERY price worthy felt more like hotel than hostel, so highly recommended!
