Great place to stay if you like a quiet relaxing place without tons of people. The staff is really nice and the place is clean and inviting. It happens to be close to my language school and the Sanchez market, so those are two big pluses for me.

Great staff, the credit card machine doesn’t work when we arrived and they found a solution quickly. The girls of the breakfast are very nice two, but the breakfast is very basic I would say. We had the “deluxe” room, with its plastic garden chair and very ugly decoration, from which you’ll perceive very well the lights and noises from the road at night… if it’s not the noises from the rest of the hostel, WC are in front, very sweetie noises! Only solution to sleep: plug on the very noisy fan!

Its was a very cool Hostel. In a good location in Oaxaca. I was just there for 3 days and its was alright. NO complains, Only with the Bathroom. They are not the best instalations for a bathroom but I can live with it. Other than that, the hostel was alright.

Come here first when your airplane lands in Oaxaca. You'll be happy your living here. Everyone that works here are very friendly and helpful. I made friends with staff, backpackers, and travelers. I miss the free, yummy, and family style breakfast in the mornings. I'll be back soon!

I stayed at the hostel for two nights in a form (I had booked female, but it ended up being mixed...) The facilities were good, however the bathrooms were very small (hard to fit more than one person in there comfortably!). The general atmosphere was good and the staff were very plesant, friendly and helpful. It is about a ten minute walk (if that) to the zocolo. The breakfasts were good also and quite filling.

We loved our time at Hostal Pochon, the staff is great - helpful and knowledgeable with things to do and how to get around. The breakfast is great - good coffee, and either eggs or crepes with fruit and jelly. The main negative is due to the water shortage - the shower was sometimes cold or lacking in any power at all, and it's difficult to get dishes clean with a trickle of cold water. The location is a few blocks north of the centre, but easy walking distance for the price.

Room good size and computer plus TV in room was a bonus. Breakfast pretty good. Shared bathroom facilities are very small. No room to get dry/changed. Not ideal having to walk through communal area from ladies downstairs! Rooms & dorms around a central courtyard both up and downstairs meant the 4am ers couldn't help by waking most people up. Not sure how this can be rectified. Atmosphere on 2nd morning much better than first after departure of group of young guys who seemed to dominate the place

Perfectly located, with great patio, good breakfast and amazing staff. Some say toilets and showers are limited - never had any problems.

Hi there, yes, we liked it there. In the beginning we thought the room was a kind of smal, but after all we had a good time there, so: positive!! Thank you, Marijke

Bathroom facilities are small. I suppose that they might get crowded and thus not always spotless during high season. They were clean when I went though

The bathroom (2 showers, 2 toilets for girls and 2 showers, 1 toilet, 1 urinal for guys) were very small. There was a good atmosphere to meet people and the staff was very helpful.
