We spent 4 days there and In the first 2 days we had no warm water. Some of the staff also wasn`t really friendly:( They spelled my name wrong and first didn`t want us to check-in...absurd!! The hostel was in the old part of the city and we even had a little balcony. Every day they clean your room. Breakfast costs 3€/ person and is ok.

I had a pleasant stay at this hostel. It is a very clean and safe place located right in the heart of historic Barri Gotic. People at the reception were nice and helpful, all part of the owners family, I think. The noise level is quite high, especially on the first floor, so bring your earplugs. I would suggest they install hangers in the bathroom, you don't know what to do with your clothes when you take a shower.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Heating, hot water, clean toilets, reasonably priced breakfast, comfortable beds. All you need for a good night's sleep. Only negative thing would be the feeling that there are renovations going on all the time, e.g. unfinished walls and visible piping. Also the street below can be rather noisy, so bring your earplugs :)

The location is great, the staff is nice, altough they forgot to tell us about doing a reservation for breakfast. At night, the people in the rooms next to ours were very loud so we barely slept the 2 first nights.

Everything is very good at this hostel but there is a bad thing too. Shower head in bathroom that at ground floor is very rusty. I mean it's almost covered by rust. Luckily there are 2 other showers in hostel. Other than these it's very nice.

I had found this hostel during a search i made for a budget place where to stay during our holiday in Barcelona and i must say that this hostel was the best choice at the best price i was looking for. Even though the hostel did not have a lift since we were on the third floor, the place was always kept clean and all the receptionists which we found at any time of day were very helpful in instructing us the best way to reach the best parts of Barcelona.

Despite the hostel being in the midst of redecoration the overall impression was good. Very friendly staff, regularly and well cleaned room, perfect location. On the less positive note, the breakfast served by the hostel is terrible (and miniature, even the cutlery!), with basic products like cornflakes or tea running out and not replenished for the next day.

The day staff was friendly, multi-lingual and VERY helpful with tips on maps, subways & getting around the city. They could be a little exacting about certain rules and the breakfast dress code but ultimately they were fantastic. The beds were comfortable, but one of my friends got bitten by what we think were bed bugs. One of the bathrooms was great but as it was located in the breakfast area, it was hard to access. The other needs work. The night staff was noisy and spoke nothing but Spanish!

I had to hold the sprinkler head in shower for 4 days! and the room was far from the pictures given. every evening i would be waken by the noisies from the corridor or the shared bathrom next door. same price compared to other hostels, there is a lot to be improved

Works in progress in the lobby: dust & noise (till 9 pm), wifi not free, no credit card accepted, no hair dryer, dirty bathrooms (only one per stairs including wc), some staff try to minimize the problems but the inconvenience remains & payment by cash should be clearly mentionned on your website as well on hotel card & adds

This hostel is great. The staff was very nice, the rooms are big and were cleaned everyday. The location is great. I would recommend to stay there. But bring earplugs with you it can be very loud and noisy on weekends.

Constant sound of the intercom system which sounds like a doorbell throughout my stay so be warned if you are looking for some rest and recuperation. tip for the management# invest in a phone system which is far less obtrusive and your guests will be a lot happier. in addition to this the room had a leaking sink and thad a hole in the wall which must have been patched up by a small boy. also, the bathroom was across the hallway past the reception so not ideal if you are looking for some privacy.

a receptionist with brown long hair is very ill-mannered. She forbad me to use several equipment of the hostel without giving me proper reasons. She asked me to be quiet while she talked loudly with a guy in the early morning. She really damaged my whole impression for the hostel.

Hostelworld site indicated the hostal would accept credit cards, but no.... only cash accepted at check in. Be prepared! Otherwise our stay was nice. Strong WiFi, secure accommodations and nice staff.

The location was pretty good as it was in the historic center of town and right along La Rambla. I also liked that I had a sink in my room. The staff were okay, but a bit pushy and nosy. And the 3 Euro breakfast isn't that great.

Amazing location! Very clean rooms. We got a room with bathroom although we booked a room with shared bathroom. Breakfast is not included, costs 3 EUR and is very good value for money. Only two minor shortcomings: WiFi is only available in the lobby and the rooms are a little noisy (noise from the street). Overall, I strongly recommend the hostel.
