Thanks for a great stay. At times there are queued for showers and toilets, otherwise no complaints!

Excellent location near center on street with no through car traffic. Super clean. However, do not count on accuracy of online bookings. We reserved and paid for room with private bath but were given room with shared bathroom. Bed not too comfortable either.

Don't go!! We've been travelling since April and never had a hostel as bad as this one! 1) We booked a 6 bed, but got a 10 bed dorm instead. 2) Rain leaked through the roof and my boyfriend had to change his bed to not get wet. Needless to say we checked out early (didn't get all our money back either!).

We reached the place and our reservation was not valid! The owner did not even have idea of our reservation. She offered an ungly dirty bed! We regected, the hostel did not return our initial payment

Hostel was clean and well located. However, when we arrived the owner had no knowledge of our booking through hostelworld and therefore told us there were no rooms available. Once we showed her our booking confirmation she suggested we stay in a makeshift room in the hallway. The bed was comfortable but it wasn't very private and wasn't the room with bathroom we were expecting. The second night we moved to a room with a bathroom (presumably the one we booked) but the toilet did not have a seat.

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The security situation is a bit odd (left the key at the front desk most of the time, was told to take it at other times), but never presented a problem. The host did have some confusion as to the room we booked on line. We booked an ensuite, which seemed to come a surprise to the host, but she ultimately accommodated the request. Great location though, would highly recommend.

Liked location. Ordered 6 bed dorm but seemed to be a 10 bed dorm, was not as ordered . Didn't like, everytime you wanted to take a shower you had to ask for hot water. Very weird !!!

Really nice courtyard to hang out in and outdoor kitchen.

Nice hostel, the room was nice. The lady was quite strange and imposed a lot of rules. No eating or drinking in our room (which was private), leaving the keys with her whenever we left the hostel, etc. She was also slow with organising things that we asked. In the end she was very kind to us though. It seems like there are nicer hostels that are cheaper that don't appear on Hostelworld.

A lovely looking hostel with a beautiful courtyard with hammocks, cheap breakfast and friendly owner. The hot water is very temperamental though so there were many cold showers (which is not fun in a cool climate!) The main issue though were the bites I got during the night, even finding some of the little black suckers on my pillow! Ew!! When the owner was told she didn't seem surprised, which alarms me even more.

Lovely Hostel, very close to the center. The lady was very nice and helpful. Room perfectly clean, new facilities and hot water. Strongly recommend!

This place is great if you want a quiet retreat from a big city. The lady that runs it is nice - she even gave me a fruit that apparently would help with stomach for my bus trip as sometimes people tend to get sick on the bus ride. The only thing was that the lockers were outside the rooms so it wasn't quite easy to grab your stuff quickly. Besides that, great location and facilities. Very chilled vibe.

This was a lovely hostel, super convenient in the centre of town and Maria was very helpful suggesting things to do in the area. Facilities are great and as it's quite a small hostel it was lovely and peaceful.

Nice hostel, very clean, food location. The owner is not very friendly though. And the wifi connection is completly useless.

A great place to stay!

Very sweet & helpful owner. Nice courtyard for relaxing. Only issue was the lack of working power plugs.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel! The courtyard is great, with hammocks and many plants. Also the bathrooms are amazing, very clean and new. The best though is "Pepe", the hostel's dog! I highly recommend staying there.

Great place, perfect location close to the main square and the bus station. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean. It had a cute courtyard win hammocks to relax in.

Well, I think it´s an average hostel and don´t understand why people here are raving about it. At this price no towel nether breakfast is included. You might say: 30 thousand for a 6-bed-dorm is alright. But it´s a 10-bed-dorm. I asked for the 6-bed-dorm, since I had booked it, but it does´t exist. The bathrooms are good and there is hot water. The kitchen is equipped with the most necessary things. So don´t expect too much. There are heaps of hostels in Villa de Leyva. Not necessary to stay her

Great hostel. We had such a good time. Is close to the center, really clean and very important there is hot water in the shower. Such a sweet owner, who speaks a little English. She also took us for a little trip which was great..
