I don't mean to be harsh, but make sure you look up the location of this before you reserve or anything. I thought it would be ok, but turned out to be a nuisance. Maybe I'm a bit spoiled because of Madrid's metro system, but Bilbao's just doesn't compare.
Far from the center, and difficult to reach with public transport. Otherwise has everything you would expect. Good variety for breakfast.
The hostel has a nice garden. We had a flat with nice view on the river. But you can't walk to the city and there is almost nothing (bar, restaurant) close s take a bus o taxi. Quiet.
This is in the former industrial end of Bilbao."Transformation" has begun with redevelopment of the famous football stadium across the the river, and a large boat-shed nearby. There is an excellent cafe next door open 7am-9pm; and there is a bus. Otherwise it is currently a fair walk from the edge of the town centre and the tram system. If there was a simple pedestrian bridge across the river at this point it would make all the difference; and the rooms at the front do have a river-view.
Although hotel was a bit far from city centre the staff made up for this by being extra helpfull with directions and places of interest. We did a walking tour of bilbao with freetours bilbao which was very informative both historically and general information about the city.
Wonderful price for an hostel, infact it is a 2 star hotel. every walls have pictures and and very clean place. I noted it for next
We could park our car in the garage, which was great! The hostel is not in the city centre but it is a nice walk along the river. For us that was no problem. The Guggenheim is not that far. It looks more like a hotel than a hostel. The facilities in the room were great. I did not like the breakfast very much but it was ok. Staff very helpful to answer our questions.
