The star of this hostel is the staff! Everyone is so kind and always willing to help with whatever concern (booking travel plans, recommendations, etc.) you could possibly have. I can't explain how many times I bothered them with annoying questions and they always responded with a smile. Showers are nice and hot and rooms are clean and home-y. Great place to stay, close to Monasterio de Santa Catalina and the Plaza de Armas. Breakfast is good and changes slightly day to day.

Santa Marta hostel is located at an excellent spot and is very close to the main square as well as the market. The hostel looked and is very secure ( we just stayed there for a day) and didn't feel unsafe inside the hostel at any point in time. The staff very friendly and informative in whatever way they could be but spoke only Spanish. The rooms were clean and tidy and the hostel is decent value for money considering its location, facilities and cleanliness.

One of the best hostel's I've stayed in! More of a hotel than a hostel. Very clean, hot & powerful showers, friendly staff and excellent wifi! You even get a cable TV with a few English channels (WB, HBO etc.) Breakfast was only till 9am however which was a bit annoying, but otherwise no complaints. Will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it!!

We love the hostel, the location was good and the facilities excellent. They kept our bags until we went to the bus station with no problems.

Nice quiet location a couple minute walk from the Plaza de Armas. If the staff is not sitting at reception the door is locked and you must ring the bell, so it is very secure. Directly across from a police station. Typical Peruvian breakfast of bread, ham, cheese, eggs, tea, coffee, juice. Simple but good. Some staff have very limited English but will pull out their phone with translation apps to make sure you get the help you need. Hot water always worked also. Rooms clean, recommended.

we stayed in a double private ensuite for 2 nights and loved it. the bed was comfortable, it was quiet and the outside door locked at all times. they served a nice breakfast of rolls, fresh juice, coffee, tea and either eggs or ham and cheese. the food was fresh and dining area clean. I only wish we stayed in Arequipa longer than 2 nights. it is a lovely city.

The staff was welcoming and spoke some English. The lobby, courtyard and our room were bright, airy and clean. Each morning we had a lovely breakfast served to us that was varied in choices. A real gem
