This hostel was not really a hostel at all, but a hotel. The rooms were extremely spacious and clean, the staff very friendly. The rooms were also very cheap considering how nice it was! The Plazas de Armas and all of the main city attractions were only a few blocks away. However, it was not the typical hostel atmosphere we were expecting.

We had a great time at Santa Marta, close to the main square and many commercial establishments. The employees of the hotel were super nice to us, very clean and well maintained. We will def come back to this hotel.

Great place. Big rooms with high ceilings, hot showers with plenty of pressure. It's a quiet place, which was perfect for me, but something to be aware of if you're looking to party. The staff were extremely helpful.

The hostel was never more than 5 blocks from where we needed to be. It wasn't your typical hostel with dorm rooms, my friend and I had a room with 2 twin beds and private bath. Showers were always hot, and the staff was very friendly. They even organized our 2-day Colca Canyon tour and locked up the bulk of our belongings while we were away. Wifi was always available too! Overall great experience!

Not a party hostel

Really comfortable stay here and the staff were very happy to help with tours and a taxi on arrival as I was on my own late at night. Great stay and not too far from the main square.

Rooms are clean and huge. Shower hot and powerful. Staff very helpful. Great location close to restaurants and bars (10 min walk from plaza del armas). Not for meeting people though. Highly recommended if you want the comfort of an hotel for the price of an hostel!

Quiet place, clean, comfortable and a decent price for a private room. No problems with hot water or wifi.

Very nice comfortable stay! Staff were nice. Felt more like a hotel, so don't expect to meet other travelers. Breakfast was decent, nice courtyard and comfy stay. About 6-7 blocks from plaza on a busy street.

The star of this hostel is the staff! Everyone is so kind and always willing to help with whatever concern (booking travel plans, recommendations, etc.) you could possibly have. I can't explain how many times I bothered them with annoying questions and they always responded with a smile. Showers are nice and hot and rooms are clean and home-y. Great place to stay, close to Monasterio de Santa Catalina and the Plaza de Armas. Breakfast is good and changes slightly day to day.

Santa Marta hostel is located at an excellent spot and is very close to the main square as well as the market. The hostel looked and is very secure ( we just stayed there for a day) and didn't feel unsafe inside the hostel at any point in time. The staff very friendly and informative in whatever way they could be but spoke only Spanish. The rooms were clean and tidy and the hostel is decent value for money considering its location, facilities and cleanliness.
