In the webpage of Hostal Santel at hostelworld.com, at Facilities section always writes "breakfast Included". We understood that breakfast was included in the price of the rooms. The assistant of the hostel told us that we don't have free breakfast and we have to pay extra 3 euros for each. We complained to the assistant and after comunicating with the boss told us that the booking comfirmation that was sent to us didn't include breakfast..It seemed too tricky to us and we are unsatisfied.

Owner Comment (Show)
Thank you for your comment. I´m sorry for the misunderstanding but we try to be as clear as possible. When you make the reservation at Hostelworld.com you have two kind of rates, one with breakfast included (at the moment of your reservation it was 30 euros), and one without breakfast included (at the moment of your reservation it was 24 euros). You had chosen the option without breakfast. However, we accept your comment and we are working with Hostelworld to try to make it more clear from now onwards.

If you want a private room for a cheap price this is a good option. There isn`t a kitchen and no lounge. Basically it`s a pension with a few private rooms close to the old town.

The staff were really friendly and helpful - I only stayed one night but still my Spanish improved with their help. Really good price for a private room, and in a nice part of town away from the tourist centre.

At the beginning, we had to wait about a half an hour because the reception had a sign saying "be right back". Eventually, I had to call the "emergency" contact number provided. A minor inconvenience overall. The room was modern and spotless, but the toilet is not a separate room, merely partitioned. The staff spoke English and were helpful. A breakfast of tea, coffee, juice, toast and mini croissants is provided. Overall, I would stay here again and recommend it to others.
