They only have two computers and the internet is so slow. The atmosphere is good, but the rooms need some maintenance. The private room where I stayed had no curtains and big windows so the light was intense in the morning, a bit noise at night.
We had a large double room with bathroom and were very comfortable, despite the cold nights during our stay. The staff at reception and the breakfast staff were all pleasant and accommodating. It was simple, but good value. We also arranged a tour to Cholula through the reception which was handled very well.
very nice and confy hostel. the staff is always ready to help nice location zocalo a nice walk away. very good breakfast included
Good hostel, basic breakfast, plenty of clean water for a first time backpacker! Thanks guys!
Good hostel in a central location! Simple breakfast, wifi patchy at times and sometimes a bit noisy if you're over the street, but otherwise clean, decent and good value
one of two beds had dirty sheets (full of hair), the bathroom and the floor were dirty, too. breakfast was nothing special. but the house looked good, nice atmosphere.
The hostel is very centrally located, close the zocalo. The staff was nice, allowed us to use the kitchen and leave our luggage the next day. Breakfast was also good. We really like the patio inside the building. We would recommend Hostel Santo Domingo to other travellers.
Nice hostel, great location, breakfast included, late check-out at 12:00, large lockers. Can hardly find something negative.

overall nice hostel, but the toilet in female dorm was not was working for 2 days that I was there. First they said it was a problem in the whole hostel and after it appeared there was a leak in the washroom so they closed the water. which made the stay really uncomfortable even for a hostel facility expectation level.
It was a bit quiet when I was there for día de los muertos but I imagine that was just because it was the low season. security was pretty good- you have a locker and you can use your lock or one of theirs. They also give you towels and breakfast (although the brekkie wasn't amazing). Wifi and computers available too. You can't lock your room door but apart from that it's a pretty solid hostel overall- the dining area is beautiful!
Awesome hostel to stay and rest. Very well located, very close to all the stuff in the historic downtown. The only thing is that is not that good if you wanna meet lots of people. But I recommend to all !!!
Very good location, staff was really nice. Will totally recommend the place!
We actually went to Santo Domingo and they didn't have room for us. I was kind of peeved because we made a reservation! They have a sister hostel (Casa Poblana) and they sent us there. I loved it! It looked the exact same as santo, but I think the location was better. Really close to the zocalo. Staff was great, rooms were cleaner and nicer than some hotels I've stayed at! We won't stay anywhere else in Puebla!
