So nice and clean, spacious, very nice owners. Lots of extra towels and blankets.
By far the nicest hostel my girlfriend and I have stayed in on our trip through Peru and Chile. The place has a really nice ambiance that made the experience in Arica for us. Although there is not a ton to do in the town itself, the hostel is located 5 minutes from the beach, where you can surf, swim, or just relax. I really enjoyed the surf lessons I took from Yo-yo's surf school, which is right next door to the hostel. The owner, Ross, is super nice and incredibly helpful. Stay here!!
Great stay, a place to relax in. Ross is great and helpful and the general atmosphere is calm and feels like home.
This hostel was perfect to recuperate after a 30hr bus. The beds were comfy and the rooms tidy. We only stayed one night but it was perfect for what we wanted. Ross was very helpful and answered all our questions the best he could about the border crossing. Would recommend staying here.
One of the most well run independent hostels I've ever seen. Run by a Kiwi/Chilean couple, it has everything a hostel should have, great showers, close to beach bus and markets, and the wifi was the best I'd used in weeks (backup your phones folks!). Excellent big dinner table style group breakfast. I'd definitely come again if I'm ever in Arica again.
Excellent hostel in a good location with very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is very nice and cooking facilities are good.
Hostel Sunny Days is the best hostel I've stayed in so far. The dorms are welcoming with no bunk beds. The bathrooms are spacious with good hot water and water pressure. The kitchen is big and well equipped. The location can't be beat - right by the bus station, vegetable market, and not far from the beach or downtown. I arrived stressed and not feeling well from travel and I was able to relax and rest at Sunny Days. The breakfast is awesome too. Stay here.
Arica is boring and well worth avoiding - it's just so ugly! But sunny days was really nice. The rooms are tidy and there are tons of common areas to chill and meet whoever is there. The breakfast is tasty too like the reviews say and the staff are very friendly. Can't fault the hostel, just a pity arica is so rubbish!
Awesome breakfast, nice hot showers, and an awesome kiwi husband/Chilean wife team. Easy walk to bus station, Chinchorro Beach, and restaurants/grocery stores and ATM, though downtown is a 20 minute walk (cabs aren't that expensive though). Great place to base yourself when in Arica!
I just stayed two nights, but great hostel clean, comfy and good breakfast, Ross could not have been more helpful, gave me a map and told me where all the sites and shops where and the best way to get around. Would definitely recommend
It was a really nice stay there is not Mitch to do in the city but the hostel was really nice quite good wifi freight Lu people great breakfast
Walking distance from the bus terminal. Really clean, great breakfast with homemade jam. Ross is extremely helpful and nice. Would recommend.
One of the best hostels we have stayed at together. The owners are really nice and brought us banana bread and juice after our long overnight bus ride. The breakfast is really good. Hostel is a little far from the main area, but we wanted somewhere nice and quiet and wished we could have stayed there longer!
Didn't actually sleep here in the end as I decided to cross the border but great location nr the bus station and the owners are cute, everything is quirky and they are friendly with you
No bunk beds! Lovely breakfast included (with fruit!), lots of chargers for electronics, towels included, Ross & Beatriz have all the info you need and are close to the beach, local market, and supermarket. Wifi worked better for me in the front house. Definitely recommended!
Very friendly stuff, close located to the bus terminal and the beach, good breakfast and spacious rooms. All in all a good hostel, I can recommend :)
Friendly hostel close to the beach and bus station, location not as good if you want to spend more time in the city centre though. Ross was very friendly and helpful. WiFi was down but he took us over to his friends hostel to use his which was very good of them both. Great hot showers.
