We only stayed here one night as we were just passing through to get to Arequipa. We were welcomed with juice and a snack. The Kiwi owner was super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and everything was clean. We didn't have hot water which was a bummer but overall I would recommend this place for a short stay.

Very friendly and great place to stay. Close to the beach and good breakfast. Overall one of the better hostels I stayed at in South America.

Great hostel. Ross and Beatriz made us feel very welcome and had lots of useful information. Very close to the beach. Good breakfast too. Definitely recommended!

We really enjoyed staying at hostel sunny days. Ross, the owner, made us directly feel welcome. Everything is very clean. The hostel is close to the beach and there is a nice fruit/vegetable market right next to it as well. The best of all is the included breakfast, which is amazing! There was quite a choice of cereal and bread and even fruits! Definitely recommendable, especially for that price.

Great location near the beach, very clean, a real breakfast, helpful Ronn. A perfect choice

The owner is super friendly and accommodating. Really feels like a home away from home! Nice and close to everything!

The man running the hostel is very kind and friendly, he also speaks English which is a plus. Great breakfast and quiet relaxed and clean hostel.

Only stayed one night on way to Iquique, but Russ and his wife have a great little hostel. The hostel is a great place to relax and the others staying there were great company. The bed was one of the nicest I've slept in and the bathrooms and kitchen were great! I would highly recommend.

Hostal owner is sweet! Breakfast was great and they welcome you kindly. Very mellow vibe, the beach that it is close to is not the best, but good! Bit far from the town center but close to the bus station. Was here on more of a layover as not much to do in Arica but good a place to stay as any!

Stayed for one night. When we arrived, the owner gave us a welcoming package, which consisted of a map of the area, some recommendations of places to see, a glass of orange juice and a piece of cake, which was altogether a nice touch. The hostel is very close to the bus terminal, and as we arrived by bus, we found the location to be excellent. The hostel was in general rather clean but for example in the bathroom there was sand and some other small particles in the corners.

Loved it there. Really felt like home.

+wifi works +owner is really nice and helpful +close to the bus terminal +excellent breakfast -no hot water -not so close to the center -walls are thin

The kiwi running this place was great! Was there for the airline shutdown and held me and my friends book bus tickets even with all of us not staying the night. Rooms were decent and the kitchen had your typical set up. Nothing was sold at the hostel (eg. Drinks or food) but the supermarket was only a few blocks away. Wasnt much of at atmosphere but would stay again.

Nice place but the man that runs it was an angry elf!

Great vibes, friendly atmosphere & clean facilities

Very helpful and nice owner. Need to change bookings several times and it was no problem. The owners knows a lot about all the tours and bus drives in the whole region. Makes awesome breakfast. One of the best. Really enjoyed the time here.

Not in the center (20' walk). but very close to the beach. Little restaurants and market nearby. All rooms very very clean. Plenty of common-space and bathrooms. Beds were comfy and the kitchen well equipt. Wifi was fast and stable and the owners nice, friendly and helpful (English and Spanish). Best of all was the breakfast at the huge table in the morning. Juices, tee, coffee, cereals with milk or yogurt, bread butter and jam. Good even for an extended period of time,

Thanks a lot for your warm welcome, we really enjoyed our stay in arica thanks to your hospitality and your nice home!

So nice and clean, spacious, very nice owners. Lots of extra towels and blankets.

By far the nicest hostel my girlfriend and I have stayed in on our trip through Peru and Chile. The place has a really nice ambiance that made the experience in Arica for us. Although there is not a ton to do in the town itself, the hostel is located 5 minutes from the beach, where you can surf, swim, or just relax. I really enjoyed the surf lessons I took from Yo-yo's surf school, which is right next door to the hostel. The owner, Ross, is super nice and incredibly helpful. Stay here!!
