Very Nice hostel with a homey feeling and friendly owner. Everything you wish for as a backpacker is there: from a well equiped kitchen, towels, great brackfast to a book exchange....

Pros: nicest owner possible, really close to bus terminal and beach and big supermarket. Attracts nice backpackers. Clean. Reasonable beds. Cons: not the newest infrastructure, kitchen could use a couple of new pans. All in all recommended.

Breakfast was one of the best we'd had in Chile. The floor in our bedroom hadn't been cleaned in some time.

They were very nice to us, had everything that we needed, they even let us sit down and have breakfast earlier than expected as we were silly to not sort out the time difference properly, it was a shame we only stayed there a night and had work to do, as it would have been nice to have seen more of the place. If we ever do go back we know where to stay!

Best hostel ever. Sunny Days has such a homely atmosphere and Ross the owner goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. He is also a wealth of knowledge. Breakfast is incredible, the place is clean and close to the beach and bus station.

Nice staff, very helpfull We had a great breakfast althought we had been one hour too late We had a very fast internet-the best internet connection at our journey by now The rooms were very clean and its near to the beach

Run by a great group of people, the owner is kind and extremely accommodating. The rooms are size able and the walk to the beach takes no time. A bit of a walk from the city center but definitely a great option in Arica.

Ross makes everyone feel at home and dispenses invaluable advice for moving on to your next location. Breakfast is very good. The hostel is very near to the bus station and beach and a reasonable walk to town. There is a good market nearby and a Unimarc is a shorty walk. Cooking facilities are very usable and frequently used. Sunny Days was recommended to me and I would recommend it to others.

Very nica place and nice owner, who is very helpful with a lot of tips for Arica and the Region. Just a few minutes to Chinchorro Beach and to Bus terminal. One of best hostels so far...

A great hostel that makes you feel at home. We were greated by the owner on arrival with a glass of juice and bit of fruit cake. This was wonderful touch after a long bus ride. Breakfast included cereal, real English tea, fruit and bread with jam. If you need it earlier just let them know. Walking distance to the bus station, beach and supermarkets. Our dorm did not have lockers but we ended up with it all to ourselves so not an issue.

Very welcoming and relaxing hostel. Close to beach but quite a walk to centre. Close to fresh food markets. Great place to cook, relax and chill out for us before moving on. Arica is a quiet place.

Great chilled hostel. Really helpful owners...was great to stay somewhere where they really cared about their guests.

Very good Brekfast. Nice Owner who can help with everything. Everything is clean. Just 5 Minutes to the beach. But seriosly, the breakfast was amazing for south america

One of the best hostels I stayed in while travelling. The rooms are very clean with lovely common areas and a well-stocked kitchen. The breakfast is outstanding with fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereal on offer, far exceeding most hostels standard bread and jam. The kiwi owner is fantastic and even got up at 4am to get us breakfast before a very early flight as well as providing excellent information about Arica and Chile. If you go to Arica and want an awesome relaxed stay, go here!

Don't leave beer or chorizo in the fridge or it will probably get stolen like ours did (another backpacker there had the same problem in the other kitchen and swears it is one of the cleaning ladies).

More like a lodging house than a traditional hostel, Sunny Days has lots of rooms and communal areas, a big kitchen with everything you need, fast internet and a generous breakfast. Only a short stroll to the beach. Owner is a helpful New Zealander.
