The room smelt of damp and mould and was dirty. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned in days and the blanket on the bed was filthy.

Good breakfast, helpfull stuff (english, spanish, hebrew). Kitchen is available only from 14 till 17 and from 21 till 23.

Basic room but clean. Good value for the money, in centre of town. Less then 10 minute walk from busterminal.

You get what you pay for at Hostal Travsilvania. But that being said, you get an amazing breakfast which save you about 3$, so you're stay is basically free. If you are looking for a cheap budget place, this is it! safe, moderately clean, pool table, 3 computers, delicious breakfast, excellent location, it's definitely a good deal.

The hostel and staff was quite nice. The rooms a little packed but I knew that from older reviews and was neither surprised nor annoyed - in the end it's one of the most ecenomic hostels in town. Breakfast was great and the kitchen clean and well equipped, I just wished the bathroom trash had been emptied at least once during the three nights I spend there. Same for cleaning the bathroom floor.

after 3 days stay we usually enter to clean the room, or when requested.

Brilliant location, right in the heart of Banos town and great value for money. The rooms are clean but very cramped. I was in a small room that had three beds and a bunk bed, top bunk you can't even sit up and there's no ladder to climb up either. It's crammed but definitely does the job if you're not too fussy. Good people there and everyone seemed very friendly. Staff live there, and aren't over friendly but I didn't have much to ask for. No lockers, but a nice addition getting a towel.

The staff help were extremely friendly and helpful, however, I felt as though the owners themselves were not overly helpful and seemed annoyed with any extra questions that were asked of them. The breakfasts were delicious and location was great, though. Just wish the owners would have been a little more welcoming and friendly when we first arrived and had questions later.

Not a party hostel, but had great breakfast (choice of fruit/ granola, pancakes, or eggs), great WiFi, and clean rooms. Definitely would recommend and stay in again!
