Best place in San Pedro de Atacama :) Highly recommendable! Matilde and Jorge were the best hosts... always helpful and very concerned, that we are feeling "home". Thanks again :)

As per all the other reviews stay here!!!! its a great place with a lovely courtyard, the owners keep an eye on you to make sure you have everything you need. sooo clean and soooo quiet, its only a couple of minutes to the town. It has hot showers all the time and the internet worked the whole time. This was absolutely excellent value for money

Great hostel and great value! We got a private room for cheaper than a dorm. The owners are very warm and outgoing. It's got a nice area to hang out and good kitchen facilities. It's the cleanest hostel we've seen. A short walk to the town center.

Matilde and Jose are the perfect hosts, very attentive and welcoming. The hostel is spotless and a short walk from the main square. Would definately recommend staying here!

Contrary to most comments on Hostelworld there are quite a lot of hostels in the center... maybe they are new though or announce themselves elsewhere. Tuyasto was about 5min walking distancw from the main road. The place was quite ok for the low prices and the owner was helpful, too. Major setback - one of our two beds had begbugs...so obviously I wouldnt repeat, but if it weren't for that issue, the place would be a good budget option.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was easily one of the cleanest hostels we have stayed at - the owners speak minimal english but communication was still easy - we even got driven to the bus stop by them when we asked for directions. We had no problems with hot water, the kitchen was clean&very usable, there are laundry services available or you can do your own. There is no breakfast but we easily cooked our own. The hostel is a short 5minute walk from the centre of town. Totally recommend!

MUST STAY HERE IF IN SAN PEDRO. Jose and Mathilde are the two sweetest people I have ever met and made me feel immediately at home. The hostel is a short walk from town and is conveniently located next to a minimarket with all the essentials. The rooms and bathrooms are extremely well kept up and the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. Jose and Mathilde even gave my friend and I parting gifts and took a farewell picture with us. LOVE.

It is a really good place to stay. It is not far from the center and the owners are really nice. Rooms were nice and the common area was good to relax and get some rest.

Lovely hostel. Amazingly helpful staff. Tiny bit out of town which meant it wasn't too noisy which was great. Good prices. Really nice place. Definitely recommended.

Thanks Dona Matilda and Don José!

I stayed here for 6 nights and Matilde and Jose were by far the most friendly and helpful people I've met in the past two months travelling. As I was waiting for a late parcel, Jose called DHL for me repeatedly (due to my poor Spanish) talking to them for well over half an hour in one instance, in another case my towel had fallen off the line and Matilde had it washed and dried for me before I even realised it was gone! The hostel is also really clean and has a nice courtyard area. !!Stay here!!

We booked 5 night ensuite bathroom, but the hot water was not working and we had to take a shower on the comum bathrooms. The room, also had a kitchen and you pay more for that, but we didn´t use it and on the reservation its was not informed. Its very far away from the city, and you can get better deals by going to a few hostels near caracoles. The shortcut that its on the map, does not exist. Well, apart from that, the owners are really helpful, and friendly.

Really clean and good, comfortable beds. Showers can be a bit temperamental but at least there is hot water. Owners are really, really friendly. Wifi is a little slow in the rooms but if you go and sit in the kitchen it is fine.

Had a terrific stay. Hosts Matilda & Jose make this place special. Others are quick to take your money and you don't ever hear from them again. Jose/Matilde are always around to check on guests and that made me feel safe and well looked after. They don't speak English but that wasn't a problem if you know some basic Spanish. The place is 5 minutes from "downtown" and I liked that it wasn't close to all the commerce - it felt like a retreat. It was immaculately clean, a value. Recommended. A gem.

Super welcoming and helpful staff, who can memorize everyone's name! Location is definitely overrated, but nowhere is too far to walk to in San Pedro! Plus it is quiet with good atmosphere!Very clean facilities, definitely get your money worth! No doubt I Will be back again! ;)
