Private room number 11 had an amazing view of the city and we enjoyed all the windows! This hostel is well set up for travellers, at a good price. Wifi worked well in our room. Sheets and bedding were a bit old, but manageable.

Staff was ok, but had some trouble with reservations. Hostel's location was amazing, just behind the cathedral. Made good friends from other countries. It was a nice hostel for the price I paid, I would recommend it if you don't want to spend much money and hace a nice time.

I loved the roof top patio. It made it very easy to meet people. The kitchen too was conducive to meeting and chatting with other travelers and finding out what they were doing. Having tea and or coffee available at all times is a nice touch too - especially because breakfast is not provided. One of the best hostels I have stayed at.

I had a great stay at Villa Colonial. The location is sublime and it's worth staying just for the views from the roof terrace. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The only negative I would mention is the size of the bathrooms. They're very small. But the staff are very friendly and personable and there was a nice atmosphere.

The hostel is in a good location, reasonable price. Staffs are willing to help us. I think it is good choice for someone who want save money. And still you feel quite comfortable staying here.

A fantastic hostel. My only suggestion would be that they empty the sanitary bins more often.

It was superb The best hostel stay of my trip (and I've been going for 6 months). The manager 'Aniesa' (not sure of spelling) was great and made sure everybody had a good time. Can't recommend a place more highly. Yours,. Bob

Excellent place! I had a private room with TV for about $20 US. (No remote, however.) The owner is very friendly, and so is his staff. There's a nice terrace overlooking the city on top of the main building. One thing: Zacatecas gets very cold at night in December. I had to use the blankets from two beds to stay warm. For people who have only one bed, I hope they provide extra covers on request. My only real complaint is that my bathroom had no toilet paper, even after housekeeping came.

Ernesto makes lot of effort to keep up good atmosphere & help people have an enjoyable stay.Great night outs & parties.Other staff seemed bit grumpy at times. When we stay in a hostel we don't expect included breakfast or laundry;but when advertised online it should be available. We had to take our laundry to an expensive place;coffee only available at times;breakfast not at all.Upstairs kitchen poorly equipped; used our own cutlery as none there. In total we enjoyed our stay a lot.Recommended!
