The lighting in the hallways makes it seem super creepy. We had to share a bathroom with basically the whole second floor but we had a sink in the room. The bedding was a bit old and shabby but the sheets seemed clean. we had a cute little balcony that looked down onto the street (at night time this wasn't so great since directly below us there were numerous bars complete with loud merrymaking into the wee hours BRING EAR PLUGS) Front desk makes you leave your keys with them when you step out.

Nice stayed in this Hostal. I think the best value is the location in Madrid, the rest things are average IMO. Thanks Hostal Villar.

No wifi in the room (only in lobby) the room is really old and looks like room that you can see in horror movies. the walls are thin that you can listen to your next door & the corridors

Very old rooms, with bad smell and really thin walls. Also bad ventilation and staff not helpful at all. I do not recommend for anyone.

Great location--in the absolute center of the city--but it was on a street with lots of bars and clubs so it got pretty loud at night. Also there was only one shower & toilet per floor for all the rooms without bathrooms to share, which was a pain because everyone was waiting for it in the morning and in the evening. The rooms weren't as polished or spacious as the pictures make them seem, but they were at least clean. The double with the bathroom was really small with a tiny bathroom.
