Ok hostal, no complaints here

Great location. Had hot water problem but solved the next day all in all OK

We loved yakumama! Excellent location and Maya at the front desk was incredibly helpful and patient. We had a bit of a mixup with our reservation and wanted to add an extra day. Everything ended up working fine. They did have a really loud party on our last night but they were very clear it would happen ahead of time and we were fine with it. Breakfast is simple but tasty. The passion fruit margarita was so so delicious!

- Rain dropped in to the rooms (nobody was interested to fix the hole!) - Firealarm at night (nobody cared about the fire alarm!) - private bathroom was dirty - self baked bread was really good for breakfast - free city maps - we receivd good information from the swiss girl at the reception

We had a really nice stay at the hostel. Good staff, clean, well located but small breakfast...

Great place in the heart of Cuenca's old town. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, cool design throughout, decent breakfast :) great price for the quality, it'll surely be in the next Lonely Planet!

Location was really good, next to the city center. Staff are wonderful they will try to help you in anything you need. The beds in the terrace had some few bugs crawling in our beds but they were deft not bed bugs it seem like it was termites from the ceiling. Besides that everything is great. Strong suggest it.

The hostel was great. I stayed in the bamboo dorm room. Great value, and great location, just 2 blocks from the main square. The staff were excellent. Helped with my spanish and also took a bunch of us salsa dancing on a Wednesday night. Would stay again :)

The Good: Great location, walking distance to the river, many museums, and the new and old cathedrals. Showers had hot water. Bathrooms were generally clean. The Bad: The trash had not been emptied in our room when checking in. Sheets felt dirty. If you want to come or leave late at night, you have to bother some dude who will then walk over and unlock the front door for you to leave. Loud music coming from the courtyard area after 11pm when we had to wake up early the next day.

Comfiest bed I've had in the past 4 months. Great showers, awesome TV room for chilling out. Nice bar downstairs, included breakfast isn't super filling but they have additional options for reasonable prices. Can't go past $2 drinks in the bar between 7 and 9 each night.

Nicely decorated. Lots of funky murals everywhere. private rooms in the courtyard very basic. owners are nice. it was dead when we got there but that's not their fault. brekkie is very basic. great location.

The hostel has a nice set up, is fairly clean, spacious and light. I feel like the staff could have been nicer and somehow the armosphere wasn't great. And come on, put double the amount of bread on the table and then you can call it breakfast! All in all, a good option, though.

Good: Skate ramp, ping pong table, location. Not good: Really untidy/chaotic hostel, lots of stuff lying around, unprofessional staff, cold rooms. Tiny breakfast - if u want more, u have to pay.

Bit of a party hostel, expensive breakfast and only hot water downstairs. Fairly clean and good security but on Sunday and Mondays the check in area is shut and you have to ring for a local guy to let you in to the building. Big rooms so good for going in a group, and great location near all the bars and restaurants, but therefore quite noisy.

I really liked the hostel, the staff were really nice and helpful (even gave us the breakfast for takeaway when we had to leave early in the morning). The indoor bar seemed cool although we didn't spend much time there. There is also a pingpong table and a nice yard with a bar outside (the outside bar is only open on weekends) and a skating ramp. At night it was nice and calm so we got a good night sleep, although more blankets could be provided (Cuenca is a bit cold at night). Great experience!
