Not a bad option for staying in Punta Arenas. Interior felt a bit like a student house. But it's clean, breakfast was ok and the staff are friendly. Wifi was good. 4 bed dorm could do with more plug sockets.
We stayed only one night, the plus side was that the bathrooms were very clean and they offer you towels. The downside is that the kitchen was kinda messy but the worst was that the staff was invisible, they were never there! At breakfast (8am) nobody. After dinner (9pm) we came back to find the hostel only with guests, the owners had left! When somebody ringed at the door to get in, the guests had to be the ones opening the door, which led to us having to wait in the cold outside..
Very small, airless room with no window. the carpeting throughout very dirty and worn. Staff not very engaging, apathetic. excellent wifi, good breakfast, stairway to third floor rooms dark, no handrailing. Kitchen small but well equipped, dining area OK, but same dirty rug! There is a pool room/games area, but there is always smeone smoking there. The smell of tobacco pervades the whole hostel.Great location, good restaurants across the street, CH $750 cab ride from bus on Menendez. Overpriced!
I did not really enjoy staying in this hostel. The breakfast is too late- 8:30, whiwhich is late for a traveler. However, the staff made an extra effort to hel when asked, so it was not entirely that bad, but the atmosphere is kind of gloomy.
Great hostel, near centro; very friendly staff; great music; stinks of cigarette smoke
I stayed in a small windowless single room, dirty carpet, dirty sheets but they changed them when I pointed it out, very shabby. Don't know why lonely planet still has it in its books. Barking bull terrier on stairs when I came back both days. No one came to call it away. You can find better.
