The showers sucked! I was just there and the weather is not warm. You were lucky to get hot water and when you did it lasted about 2 minutes. The only part of the stay was meeting the guys who ran the hostel on the nights I was there. Hats off to Miguel and Franscisco (very cool guys)   Read Owner Comments

The hostel is in an excellent location near to one of the major metro stops. The staff were knowledgable and made sure it was tidy and clean.New kitchen is being built now (29.10) and so far looks nice. The sofas could be replaced but are fine. The internet is fast, however the computers can be slow. If you have a problem, let the staff know, they WILL help you out. The cleaner lady shared her lunch and helped us out. Free cocktails on one day too. A very typical and very functional hostel.

Good hostel, quite noisy at night time though. Not the place to be if youīre needing a good nights sleep or recovering from jetlag. Great location, free internet and big TV in the common area.

Hostal Forestal\'s best attribute is its location, right in the middle of Santiago, a couple of blocks from the metro and within walking distance of many sights. Its staff is also very friendly and helpful. It could use some sprucing up, however, as the facilities are somewhat worn.

the toilets didnīt work, the showers were often cold, and it was very noisy from the layout of the rooms and the door bell
