Great Hostel in the heart of Yogyakarta! Probably not the cheapest place in town, but certainly good value for money and a very nice atmosphere. Probably the security at the entrance could be strengthened, and the wifi certainly needs improvements... The only real negative note, though, is that it wasn't possible to pay by card. However, this was a great stay and we'll recommend the 1001! Love the artistic decorations in the rooms... and the breakfast pancakes and fresh juices, of course!
The staff is really friendly and helpful, thank you very much. The fruit breakfast was really small, but we felt really comfortable in this place!
1001 Malam is a wonderful oasis in the center of Yogyakarta's "action". It is very clean, extremely well located and the staff was very kind. They helped us organise our visits to Mount Merapi, Borobudur, Prambanan and Mount Bromo with only 1 day notice. We really enjoyed our stay at 1001 Malam!
An oasis of calm an greenery in the very centre of this hectic city. Nicely decorated rooms, complimentary toiletries, gigantic and comfortable bed.
Good location with a great staff, willing to help every time you need! Simple, great value for money!
Friendly, helpful, charming! The location is unusual - in an alley about two meters wide, and fairly far from either end of the alley. But that's part of its charm! Much of Jogjakarta lives like that, fairly comfortably, surrounded by birds and flowers! And across the alley is 'Mi Casa es Tu Casa', a truly international restaurant that's easy on your budget.
This place was great, amazing value for money! The staff were really helpful, willing to help as much as they could. The room was clean and nicely decorated; I particularly liked the courtyard outside the rooms where you could sit (for breakfast (which also was great) was really nice)! We also did a number of tours with them, both were excellent. The best one was the sunrise at Borobudur temple, a real must go! Overall tip top :D
Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is very small. Coffee and tea the whole day. Nice rooms with nice bathrooms, very hot shower. Huge bed. all in all you can enjoy your stay in an nice hotel atmosphere.
