I enjoyed my stay. The rooms and all the facilities were clean, neat and tidy. It was secure, it was an easy walk to the center of town and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'll be staying there again when next I visit Adelaide.

I was impressed with the layout of Hostel 109 with clean, decent sized common areas and modern kitchen and PC's. Other things i liked were that the free internet was reasonably fast and the the hot water stayed hot. Trev and the other staff at Hostel 109 were happy to help with changing room bookings and storing bags for pickup later on. When I am in next in Adelaide I will stay there again.

sheets were dirty, cleaners had left their notes in the room The ceiling had holes in it, The rooms would benefit from bedside lamps The fridge is squashed in beside the bed where your head lies on the pillow Staff on at evening time and overnight would help add to the atmosphere

This is a cute, cozy little hostel which I would have liked to stay longer in, but I had booked reservations at the YHA in Adelaide and was just needing the one night before I could check in. Actually, I liked the neighborhood there much better than the glass skyscrapers of the main CBD where YHA is. The surroundings of Hostel 109 reminded me of the New Orleans French Quarter, with old-fashioned balconies, and nice shops and cafes. I'm a 75 year-old, very well seasoned world traveler.

Hostel 109 isn't the cheapest Hostel in Adelaide, but the best. Very cleans Facilities, FAST wifi (& free use of desktop pcs) and free tea/coffe made it nearly hotel standard. If you've got enough money and like it calm (not too much party to no party at all) it's just perfect for you. If I ever stay in a Hostel in Adelaide again, I'll go for 109 again. Cheers Jonas

The rooms did not have natural light or fresh air from an opening window. This building seems to be made of cardboard as every footstep can be heard from the other side of the accommodation and this is especially annoying at night as people hang around in the kitchen. if you need to use the showers/bathroom you have to go through the kitchen area which is a bit annoying especially when its busy. The price was not bad and great to have free WiFi and free use of desktops.

This is the best hostel I have stayed in! Excellently working WIFI, all places clean, enough of showers and toilets, big enough kitchen, room is nice and bed is like sleeping in heaven.

Everything was fine :) Big and comfortable beds, clean rooms, well-equiped kitchen, appropriate bathrooms, free und relatively fast wifi,... The hostel is relatively small and not extremley social.

Clean, safe, good bathrooms, great kitchen, heaps of space in fridge and freezer (yes, there was one!), high quality furnishings in the rooms, free internet and computers, very quite in total. Everyone was by themselves, so there was no real "hostel atmosphere", but from time to time that's exactly what one need for a couple of days between the busy backpacker hostels.

Trevor was very kind. When my tourguide phoned he immidiatly let me know, and saved me a taxiride and some money. The free internet is a big plus. Everything was neet and clean. Recommend it

My comment probably says more about me than the hostel. I'm an Australian, and I've been living in Korea for 10 years. On returning to Australia, what I really like to enjoy is fresh air, sunshine, and natural light in general. I originally booked for 6 nights at Hostel 109, but then I read a review comment about the lack of daylight in the rooms. So I cancelled 5 nights, and only stayed for one. My room did not have natural light, or fresh air from an opening window.

got a very good night's sleep here. rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. people are nice but generally keep to themselves, so dont expect to meet too many people. Definetly not a party hostel, for better or worse. Enjoyed my one night stopover here but probably would have been bored if i stayed any longer.

Wanted a hostel were I could study for my electrical exams in PEER college. This is definitely the place to be! A few of my friends stayed in YHA hostel and had to attend the local library to obtain any peace and quiet from fellow hostel travellers. This is not the case in Hostel 109. Each room was equipped with a table and a chair and had a peaceful atmosphere. This isn't a party hostel and most people are an older crowd. Great facilities, great people and overall I had a great time! *****
