I've been to quite a few hostels in Central London and this is definitely the best for me. Very clean, the staff is really nice and above all there are quite a few people living in more or less permanently and they're great guys to hang around. 2 minutes walk to the high street (Queensway), 5 minutes to Bayswater or Queensway Tube Station, so great location. The only downside is that wifi signal is very weak in the common room so sometimes that means no connection at all.

we arrived, we had to pay by cash only. then we were sent to another hostel, that was not the right one. I booked a double room, but it was not available, I had to sleep in a twin for the first night, then I moved to the right one. no discount or refund for that inconvenient. the staff was really unkind and annoying.

The mattresses are very old and the springs inside them hurt. The heating remains off most of the day in freezing temperatures and I was even worried that I may suffer from hypothermia. There are a few toilets in the whole building and most of them are out or order

The shower was really smelly and it made a bad smell on the room also. We did not manage to take a shower there.. The rest was OK and as expected, good to have our own mirror in the room.

Most of the people rate this hostel as bad but come on man!!! Your paying like £8 a night?? Its worth that!! The staff are friendly, the showers work and the rooms are cleaned everyday. The crowd that stay there are friendly and most people are open to having drinks and meeting new people. The management are also good and deal with problems quickly. If you want the Ritz then dont bother staying here, If you want a cheap, decent place to kip and meet people, then stay here!

of course is not the best place, but the price is really cheap, its clean but the bed was the worst part, it was unconfortable. but i paid around 7 pound. its the best if you are looking for a cheap bed only for sleep. if i come back to london, i will be there again, sure.

At the moment they have bed bugs. Not all the rooms/beds and they do try to get rid of them! But they do have a lot of people staying there permently, so they must not mind or have no problem!

Great location, friendly staff. Would recommend to friends. Room was decent, and warm. But if sharing with friends then maybe a shower curtain or frosted doors as shower is in room and no privacy. Other than that we both enjoys our stay.

To my mind hostel 63 is the best hosstel in London in terms of everything such as staff, location cleanliness..... I stayed in other hostels as well, but I never loved them as much as this one. Thank you, Enayat Alkozai

The door of my room was hard to close and was therefore often open, so I was a bit conserned about my property. Also, the room was very damp: the wall next to my bed was literally moist and my towels didn't dry. I could go on with the list of things wrong. The overall feeling of Hostel 63 was that it was falling apart. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff was friendly, the location was good. We liked the fact that it had a 24 hour a day reception, even on new years eve. But the building itself was just.... meh... On the contrary to what the website said there was no breakfast, the kitchen was a mess and there were no towels, so everything was wet. The floor in our room and the bed were squeaky. The water-pressure in the shower was very low.

The mattress was uncomfortable. You can feel the spring inside the mattress! And it caused a back pain. The room was very cold since the heating system was not functioning really well.

Thanks so much for an enjoyable stay which was brilliant value for money. SUCH friendly staff and we were delighted to be upgraded. Perfect. (One note though... if you're not comfortable with stairs it might be worth phoning in before booking. We had a lot of them to climb with our suitcases)

We ordered a taxi at the reception. Instead of telling us the right price, the hostel added 5 Pounds for their "service". unbelievable

got an unheated room during my stay (7nights)!!!Room was very cold!My second stay there and i m very disapointed!Still good value for money but some kind of hobos stay there for a night or 2 sometimes!Very sad to see people over 40's using hostels as main residence!!!

Considering the price I'm pretty satisfied with my stay at Hostel 63. I did however have a few complaints: The beds had been slept in to such an extent that there was a ditch in the mattress (which also had bed bugs, but not the worst kind). The other problem was that my room mate managed to sneak in a man to our female only room which I found very uncomfortable. Apart from this, I enjoyed my stay because of the peculiar but friendly staff
