Good place to stay, recommended! Few bathrooms...
Great hostel with good breakfast, nice staff, good internet and a nice atmosphere.
the staff at Hostel Achalay are very helpful and genuinely enthusiastic about improving your time in Bariloche. the beds are comfy, warm and clean, and even have powerpoints for each bed, with a bedside light as well. homemade bread for brekky is delicious. all other facets of a good hostel are here. very nice of them to let me keep my luggage here for a few days in between stays and travel elsewhere. would highly recommend staying here, thanks so much guys! fi and ben (aussies)
Nice hostel and nice staff. Rooms are a bit crowded and there are too few bathrooms.
This is the BEST hostel in the world! We booked 3 nights, but stayed 11 days in Bariloche! Bariloche is a fun city. Pablo, the owner, is such a funny friendly guy, we had an asado night with his family and it was delicies! Everything about this hostel is comfortable and really awesome: the great beds, the clean toilets, the tasty breakfast, the helpful friendly staff... We miss this place so much, it is like family. We never felt so home while being away from home. Thank you for everything!
excellent hostel, good location helpful staff even made me an earlly breakfast, wifi very good
A good hostel in el chalten, spotless with good facilities. Owners are helpful and a large collection of dvds concert & movies are at the guest diposal. A very good deal but no breakfadt included (not an issue).
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Very chilled place
Homemade jams with breakfast, decent kitchen, good location. Staff is excellent, very helpful, in both spanish and english. Lockers big enough for large backpacks, and are given to everyone in your room. Internet is close to non-existent though and the computers are bad.
We had New Year here and it was a fantastic choice! Great staff, great location, good communal areas and a real home from home!
We only stayed here for one night but were made to feel very welcome. As they had no space the following night they recommended several other hostels for us in the vicinity. Breakfast of homemad jam and bread was great. The staff and owner make this place. We returned for some advice about a local trek and the owner raved about another trek we should do instead. He was right it was really good! Would def return if back in Bariloche.
Very good hostel in all... Mainly the incredible staff. Very helpful and friendly ! Backpackers as well or workers for the season so they will all the time purpose you to join if you want for a trek, activity or party !!! 3 blocks from the main street, hot showers, good kitchen. Not that big. Not selling food and just beer for alcohol. Very hood stayed there !!!!!

Very nice place with lovely staff! Very clean and spacious kitchen with excellent facilities and utensils.
I stayed at Achalay Hostel 4 nights. Its breakfast was healthy and nutritious with fresh apples, daily homemade bread and filtered coffee. My room was clean, quiet, came with a window that opened for fresh air and light, a large closet with shelves. The shower and faucet to the sink always delivered hot water; WiFi was always fast and reliable. Pablo and Hamid were very helpful and friendly in orienting me to Bariloche and its nearby hikes. An excellent hostel!
The hostel was a little bit noisy. Wi-Fi in the room was nice. Friendly staff with good ideas for the area and where to rent a car. The bathroom was not really clean.
