The hostel is very good and nice. Has computer (slow), wi-fi, kitchen, terrace, good common rooms and a very nice yard. I stay in a doble room and is a very good deal. I recomend it.

It was a great hostel. I booked a private room and it was huge and the ensuite bathroom even had a bathtub! Nice surprise. The staff was very helpful in helping me book a wine tour and hot springs tour and let me borrow a bus fare card. The breakfast was average for a hostel in Argentina....toast, dulce de leche, etc. but the coffee was plentiful and always piping hot. One great thing is the hostel was right across the street from Carrefour, so groceries were always easily purchased.

Very good hostel in a quiet area in the center of Mendoza. It's not a party hostel, more like a place to relax. Dorms are huge and staff is nice and will take care of taxis and everything you need.

Great quiet hostel. Dont expect any big parties here but it's great to chill out. Would appreciate a larger swimming pool that deserves the name, though (and not a small basket for max. 1-2 persons)

The Hostel Alamo staff were very friendly and helpful. Located right by once of the four squares, it was within walking distances to everything. While I was there they set me up with a bike rental in Maipu and gave me great instructions on how to get there etc. I recommend this hostel.

Marvellous staff - very helpful. They seem to attract a very good and varied clientelle too. Close to large supermarket and a 15 minute walk to 'centro'. They also give a very good exchange rate - $ to pesos but don't expect to get 100's of pesos. We booked2 tours and both were on time and good.

Great hostel! The layout with the courtyard was excellent and conducive to meeting people. The staff is also very helpful

I missed cheese, eggs, cake, natural juice and different fruits in the breakfast. But, as far as I know, the majority of hostels in Chile and Argentina doesn't offer any of them. It's a pitty, because in Brazil we make sure we have most of these things for breakfast. Also, I think that some of the members of the staff could try harder to understand and speak portuguese. After all, we're all latins and our languages are much more similar to each other than to english.

We stayed in a large double room located in the courtyard which was lovely, however the bathroom was extremely small, but adequate. They were able to organise tours and a basic breakfast of cereal and bread was on offer every morning. The courtyard was a nice area to relax with a small plunge pool and BBQ area if you felt like cooking. Location was good - within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

"Welcome to the best hostel in Mendoza!" - this was the arrival greeting. And indeed it was! Fortunately, we made a reservation in advance as the hostel was fully booked when we checked in. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. There are huge lockers without extra charge - only need to bring a lock. You can book any kind of activity (rafting, biking, winery-tours, ...) in the hostel. On our last day we could take a shower and hang around in the common rooms even after check-out! Thank you!

Max was super helpful as we hadn't arranged anything to do in Mendoza before arriving and no question was too much trouble. By far the nicest hostel we stayed in with the best atmosphere. Would recommend to all.

Alamo is a great hostel, good sized rooms with big lockers and lots of light and very clean. Really good outside area with small pool and seating. The hostel is a very good size so you do not feel crowded at all. Good kitchen facilities and standard breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying there as it had a good atmosphere and great facilities, only down side was the staff were not overly helpful but friendly enough!

Pleasant place to stay, staff was helpful and nice and very good location. Only problem was the internet not working well during our whole stay, something extremely annoying nowadays.

One of the nicest hostels I've stayed on my 3 month travel so far. Excellent backyard with asado place and little pool. I wished there were a A/C in the dorms.

We had an appartment opposite Plaza Indenpencia which is a great location in Mendoza. We stayed there three nights and it was just perfect. Only problem was that the wifi didn't work neither at the hostel. We can really recommend the appartment.

No air conditioning in the dorms! And Mendoza this time of year is incredibly hot! It was almost impossible to sleep, no breeze no wind, nothing. Only air conditioning the small sitting room downstairs and the place gets steamy during the day.

Great hostel, loved our stay here. The garden is really nice, the staff is helpful and friendly and it was clean and felt very safe. Supermarket around the corner is a big plus as well. Would definitely recommend this one.
