The Location of the Hostel is great to relax at the beach (not for party!). But there was no way of feeling comfortabel at the hostel. Some reasons are: - at the whole stay (4 days) the bathrooms didn't get cleaned (also the paper bins!) - the breakfast didn't satisfy hunger (i.e. just a few breads, less fruits) - the equipment of the kitchen was poor

This was a no frills kind of hostal, but it did not really matter, though cooking was a bit difficult, since the kitchen facilities lacked som basics. However, this all fades due to the location, which was simply spectacular and they had hammocks in their little yard. And the staff were very friendly there, especially Olga (?). Lovely place, would definitively return!

Excellent hostel. STEPS from the beach. Olga and her daughter are great hosts, I had a fantastic time in Pantano do Sul. Breakfast was good..and did I mention its STEPS from the beach. Would love to go back.

Great location next to beach, this is the main selling point. Room we stayed in was very dingy and not very clean, main problem was tht it was so hot due to very small window and no working fan so there was no air flow which made it nearly impossible to sleep. Breakfast is ok nothing special but nice coffee like in most of brazil.

Really friendly and helpful owner. Hostel is right on the beach, which is great. It's a bit of a trek from the Florianopolis central bus station (about an hour) but perfect if you want a quiet time. No ATM in the town, so bring plenty of cash!

This hostel is perfect if you're looking for a restful place to enjoy the sun and sand. Right on the beach, clean and great owner/manager (Olga). We ended up here for 10 days and while we were there, 2 couples that left to go to another part of the island ended up coming back. This area of town is quiet, so if you're looking for a party, don't go to Pantano at all. But if you're just looking to relax, this is perfect. Kitchen is nice, but could have been better stocked. Workable though.

we really loved that placed, because it hadn´t a typical hostel-character. it´s a small hostel, which is kind of familar. there are no "hostel-rules" that the reason that u don´t feel underpressure. it´s chilled :) the family is really nice and they gave us always good recomments. but if u are looking for party you have to go to barra del lagoa! the hostel is directly on the beach, few restaurants and supermarkets are around and such a great landscape with a awesome trail to walk!! great place

The location is unbeatable, right on th beach. The Brazalian family that runs the place is very friendly and helpful.

Internet Wifi signal just reachable in some areas in the garden, not in our room nor in the common area.
