The place is great! As advertised its a small village, with few hikes to do and a lovely beach. We had a gorgeous weather and the host was very friendly. Full English etc. the only minus was breakfast where it seemed more of a chore to them. But it's very good standards!

What an awesome place, really friendly and helpful staff, very accomodating and relaxed... the breakfast was good every morning and the kitchen was decent... the location is amazing, right on the beach and near the bus stop ... also the building itself has alot of character and is kept clean.. Highly recommend coming here if you like a chilled out place.. its the best place to stay in the south of the island..

Hostel/ Albergue Estrelas no Mar is situated strait down to the beach at Pandano do sul. Pandano do sul is like a big laguna, very nice and private. The beach is about 3-4 km long. Go there if you need a little peace and quiet stay. At carneval there might be noise but it closes at 2 am at the latest.

Great place right on the beach with nice garden to relax in, wifi in the rooms and a really nice atmosphere - you feel like you're a guest in the owner's house rather than staying in a hostel. Really nice restaurants nearby. My boyfriend proposed to me on the beach whilst we stayed here and the owners helped him organize a meal in the local restaurant to celebrate - a perfect stay!

loved it!!!!!! right on the beach, amazing helpful super friendly english speaking hosts. cute rooms - stayed in a private room with shared bathroom. definitely recommend it.

I had a wonderful stay at this hostel. The Pântano do Sul beach is relaxed with a family atmosphere and the hostel was a mixed crowd of singles traveling alone, small groups of friends and couples. Clean rooms with locked cabinets. The atmosphere was really great and Olga and her daughter made sure I had everything I needed - even a band aid for a hurt toe. Hostel is right on the beach and convenient, with chairs, hammock and shower, but far enough to be quiet at night. Cant wait to visit again!

We had an excellent stay at the hostel. The location is superb, only a few meters from the beach and restaurants on either side of the hostel. The place is calm and the atmosphere is harmonic. The included breakfast is great. The hostel itself was always kept nice and clean, and the Staff always seemed available for whatever we needed, while our privacy was very much respected. Basically we had a remarkable experience and we hope to return soon.

a really peacfull place,; in the middle of a beautiful fishermen's village. the staff is really kind and helpfull, the dorms are separated in a few room with doors or curtains between beds. feel confortable and home

BRAZIL: I was going to stay for the New Year’s Eve in Che Lagarto Florianopolis , but they were full, no vacancy. So, I opted for a beautiful Hostal on a secluded beach, I loved it, stayed there 10 more days. The owners are always willing to help and they are very friendly. The atmosphere is very good. The place is rustic, so do not expect much comfort or new items. I recommend it.
