The hostel is quite near to the central station which is really convenient. But the door lock is a bit difficult to open even with the key card!

I think you should have an option for bed and breakfast in case people are staying more than one night!!!

It was really convenient to be near Termini Station, the staff was at the desk 24/7, and the rooms/bathrooms were clean and nice enough (especially considering the price). There was nothing particularly outstanding about the place, but a very solid hostel.

Firstly excellent location. Three minutes from the Termini main station. It is two blocks from the train so you will have to deal with the usual riff-raff and hobos that frequent these areas. The hostel shares it's building with another three star hotel. Entrance via a huge wooden door where you get 'buzzed' in. The rooms are big and clean. The bathrooms big, with nice hot showers. The staff were Philipino and top multilingual guys. Laundry is self serve and €8/load. Great, but expensive place.

Decent hostel overall, but poor location. Close enough to main sites and termini station, but in a very dirty, unpleasant neighborhood.

Everything was super clean, helpful staff, big rooms, nice bathrooms. If you're looking for a unique place or super crazy fun personable staff, this place is not for you. But if you want a clean, comfortable place close to all the sights with helpful staff, choose this one!

Great hostel in a good location right next to the metro, or a 15-20 min walk to sights. Very clean place with a friendly staff.

My stay here was amazing. The staff was very friendly and the rooms where very nice. If i was to visit Rome again i would pick this hostel. We could get around Rome from our hostel very easy. Its location to the Train station was perfect. Great Job!!

Great location right by the train station, and the staff was extremely helpful in guiding, setting up tours, and offering advice. Unfortunately, it was not a particularly clean hostel, especially with the shared floor bathrooms. Would definitely book a room with an ensuite bathroom.

More appropriately described as Hostel Vending Machine or Hostel Utterly Forgetable. Left with impression that the owner had read the seminal textbook on maximising profits in a hostel and applied it with s zeal. Nothing bad, just utterly forgettable. If there was a vending machine that would bypass any huuman interaction, this place would have one. Wifi codes that expire every 6 hours is bizarre; pizza not bad. "Downtown" is accurate. Whether you want to be next to Termini is debatable.

Hair & crumbles on the sheet. Just 1 sheet for covering the mattress & yourself. Except you want to sleep with direct contact to the blanket, which smelled bad & was definitely not washed since weeks. Toilet flush didn't work & the toilet was broken & brown inside (enamel coating was broken). Some water was droping out,so I was standing in the water while using the toilet. There was mildew everywhere in the shower. Staff wasn't so nice till I started flirting with the guy named Nas. That helped!

I do not get the hype about this hostel; the neighborhood is dark and sketchy, the staff does not seem to care much about the tenants, albeit clean, the rooms are average; and worst of all, the door of our room (410) does not shut the night i was there!! and there is no locker of whatsoever in the room. but luckily i was switched to a different room the second day, and met some amazing people at the hostel which made up for the poor experience. book Dreaming Rome instead!! much better atomospher

Very friendly staff who are extremely helpful for navigation. Ensuite rooms and bathrooms were much nicer and cleaner than the rooms with hallway bathrooms.

They gave me the wrong room key and kicked me out of bed at 3 am to switch rooms. The other room smelled of old water. Got a free breakfast and the location is perfect, since it is right next to the train station, but 35 euros per night is a LOT for that kind of service.

We loved our stay at Alessandro Downtown! Although not super close to many of the major sights in Rome, the hostel was conveniently located at a walking distance and also was very close to Termini station (a huge plus for the regional trains and metro lines). The staff was amazing - incredibly helpful and available 24, willing to help us make changes to get our friend in our room, etc. The atmosphere was great and the hostel felt very safe. The 3 euro breakfast was a plus! Definitely recommend!

I really liked the big rooms with a lot of space in it. I also enjoyed the bathrooms. They were not really clean, but I liked that you had something like a small bathroom to prepare yourself. I didn't like that they charged you extra for the breakfast.
