New equipment, clean rooms. Close proximity to the Termini station. Change and vending machines and the fast free wireless internet is a plus.
I really enjoyed staying there. The dorms are big, so people can actually stay in the room not just to sleep. I made some friends there because of that. The toilets, showers and sinks are separated in the bathroom. And it seemed like the hostel has a common area now, they were reforming the place. The location is good, pretty close to the main station, from where you can get to any area in the city by metro, tram or bus.
Rooms are not that clean and when someone climbs up to the upper bunk the whole bed shakes and makes a loud noise. Beds are not that comfortable too. Should improve the overall cleanness of the bathroom.

I really liked the hostel. I slept in a 6 mixed room with a bathroom and it was a great room. The bad thing is that you can't use the kitchen to cook, you can just keep your food inside the fridge and it's not so good because it is expensive to eat in Rome. But all the room was clean, our bathroom was clean too, we stayed three nights and we didn't have any problem. The people on reception is really nice, you can ask everything to them and you will get a great answer with smiles. Nice place!
this is not a hostel built for backpackers on a budget. there's a kitchen to cook in, but you aren't allowed to use it! staff were rude, indifferent, or trying to sell you overpriced tours. not a good place to meet people. I am convinced there are no decent hostels in Rome. this was the worst one I've stayed in so far.
I enjoyed my stay in Alessandro Hostel, I have no claims, it's ideal to people who wants to have good links with the most importants tourist attactions in Rom.
It was disappointing that there was no where to relax, no lounge. The only option was in the dining room or on the assigned bed. Also the kitchen facilities are not very accessible for guests, only the use of a hot water pot.
Great hostel! The staff are friendly and helpful. Would stay again!
