Very bare bones hostel without a lot of amenities you come to expect. Very noisy. They dont clean the toilets and they reek. Good location and good breakfast.

Very convenient location close to Termini -- a three block walk through a safe neighborhood. Nice large room and nice bath, clean and comfortable (4 girl dorm with ensuite bath). Elevator!! Large rooftop patio. Only drawback was that there were lots of folks up all night--probably due to the bar in the hostel. If you want that, this is a place for you. I wanted to sleep before my flight, so the noise was not so good for me.

Well located but otherwise unremarkable at best. Booked a bed in a four bed room hoping for a decent experience, but it was not up to par with how much they charged. Uncomfortable beds, bad pillows, little common area, vague stench of sewage, lockers with an extremely impractical mechanism seemingly just so that they can sell you a new 4-Euro lock that will fit it.

It was a pretty good experience. The hostel was nice and clean, though the lockout for cleaning every day was annoying. It was also in a really good location so it was easy to get to the metro every day. I never tried their breakfast, but the food in the area isn't bad (there's a cafe right across from the hostel with fairly good breakfasts). I would probably stay there again.

I really liked this place, it made Rome bearable. They could do with a free breakfast and a free walking tour to make it a bit better. But otherwise, not too bad, a good place to stay to get a good impression of Rome.

The breakfast is €4 extra a day, despite charging a crazy amount to begin with. Throw in tax. What the hell. Was in the Annex building, which was OK and quiet. Extra activities are also really expensive (walking tour for €15?!). Bar prices were decent. The common area near the computer room could do with livening up. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were solid. Wifi in Annex was excellent, in the main building was just OK. Quick repairs when someone in our room kicked the door in.

This is the big brother to the 'Alessandro Downtown Hostel' which is on the other side of the station. Having stayed at both this one is the same price but much better. The location is north of the Termini by 3 minutes on foot. The neighborhood is central city hobo but the area around the hostel. It dominates the lower three floors of a well maintained old building. There is an adjoining bar where an excellent breakfast is served for €4. Hot showers and clean sheets all round. Expensive but good

始めは少し迷ったけど立地はgoodです。 スタッフも親切。朝食もよかったです。

The termini area is perhaps a bit touristy, it is however very close to the station which is good when you discover the city. It wasn't the best hostel I stayed at but we got what we came for. Only one sheet was included, bathroom was very clean, and the beds a bit too small. Breakfast was OK, it's cheaper to just buy a sandwich around the corner. Great location though.

A small, charming and helpful staff; clean rooms and a lovely kitchen; free breakfast and computer/internet access... what's not to love? There were only a couple of other travelers staying at Explorer's when I did, and it had a very homey vibe. My friend and I walked around in our socks, chatted with the staff while cooking dinner, and walked to the park with new friends. I would definitely recommend this hostel.

As a solo female- LOOVED the staff!! Always wanting to say hello and help in any and all ways at all hours. Plenty of activities were provided (tours, pub crawls, social gatherings) and the roof top was suuch a good place to rewind. If you make use of the roof top and bar area, you're bound to meet fantastic people and the tours are all very much informative and worth it. Deff recommend!!
