Other reviews accurate. Staff great, Fred very friendly. It's got really nice views but is a little bit outta Byblos. It's more a hotel than hostel, wifi works good but only down bottom in reception area which feels a little bit like your in someone's living room. Overall good value for money and comfortable place to stay.
Fred, the owner and manager of Hotel Amada was great. He helped us to find the best local restaurants and beaches as well as planning a bus-only trip to Baalbek. The hostel is clean and has an incredible sea view.
Rooms are not bad for the price and the location of the hotel is not far from Byblos city centre, although you need to take a mini bus to go there. The problem is that, when you are back in the hotel, there is nothing to do. Internet exists only in the ground floor and not in the rooms so, the hotel owner is kicking you out when is locking the door and there is nowhere to sit, just going back to your room where there is TV with local Lebanese channels only so, you cannot understand anything.
