Fred, the owner and manager of Hotel Amada was great. He helped us to find the best local restaurants and beaches as well as planning a bus-only trip to Baalbek. The hostel is clean and has an incredible sea view.
Rooms are not bad for the price and the location of the hotel is not far from Byblos city centre, although you need to take a mini bus to go there. The problem is that, when you are back in the hotel, there is nothing to do. Internet exists only in the ground floor and not in the rooms so, the hotel owner is kicking you out when is locking the door and there is nowhere to sit, just going back to your room where there is TV with local Lebanese channels only so, you cannot understand anything.
It was nice to stay in this hostel . The atmosphere is tranquil and really relaxing . The stay would have been completely satisfactory in case a breakfast was included . I would recommend everyone to go there . It is located on the coast line and near the splendid Byblos city. The Manager is very friendly and helpful, too.

Welcoming staff, nice sea view on the sea side, highway side is terribly noisy. You can get a good price if you stay a few nights. Walking distance from Byblos, bus to Byblos/Tripoli/Beirut at the gate, nice restaurant/bar on small beach 2 minutes down the hostel. Wifi only at the reception, lack of a common space to enjoy garden and sea view. Lots of mosquitos!!! A good cheap option to explore byblos !!!
