The selling point of this place is its location: across from Templo Mayor, Palacio Nacional and Catedral, therefore ideal for a first-time visitor to Mexico DF; otherwise, you know that this area isn't great. Staff was friendly and helpful but seemed a frazzled if more than one guest needed help (which seemed to be always). Many Mexico City hotels are made of marble so the sound carries easily and noise from lobby was constant until midnight. In all, more a cheap hotel than a traveler's hostel.
