The kitchen was very unclean, looked like dishes in the sink for days. There was a layer of dust on the shelf by my bed. There were dust balls under the beds. The common area was extremely dirty and grubby, laundry hanging over all the furniture, looked like someone was living there who was very untidy. I have stayed in about 30 hostels over the last 2 months, and this was the dirtiest.

It is not very clean and the staff is not very helpful in terms of getting to know the city. It's a quiet place and not very clean. It has an excellent location though.

The main benefit, and probably only reason for staying here, is the location. It is right next to Diocletian's Palace, and the gate to the Old Town. The showers are freezing and never warm up, the hostel doesn't seem to be heated, and finding a member of staff is nearly impossible. It isn't too expensive though, and if you're only staying one night, you probably won't notice. Book for the location, but don't expect much would be my advice.
