The hostel was very cozy and it was styled very pretty! Unfortunately, as it was winter, it was cold in the hostel (except in your room if you set the heating on). There was only one shower and western toilet in the whole house, that was a minus. In total we were quite pleased to our stay, as the staff was very helpful! Thank you, we enjoyed our stay in Nagoya!

The rooms are very clean, there are free lockers to store things and everyone was very kind! The location isn't GREAT, but it's not bad either. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice big kitchen, really quiet when I was there, good showers but the room was freezing! The heater only keeps the top bunks warm so maybe a space heater on the floor would help. The reception closes really early so when I went ask them if I could turn the heater up, no one was there. But the hostel was really clean and the staff was great!

The owner, Ann, is extremely friendly. In addition, the room to watch TV and the computer, is of the perfect size. This allows people to interact easily with the other people who are staying in the hostel. The atmosphere of the hostel is very peaceful as well, and ths hostel is located in a very quiet and easily accessable place. The hostel size is very perfect as well, not too big and not too small, as are the rooms.

Ann was excellent. It was a little difficult to ask sightseeing questions to the Taiwanese guy because his English wasn't so good. I enjoyed the Christmas dinner party. The set-up of the 8 bed dorm with 2 doors was good because it made it feel more cozy like a 4 bed dorm. The bunk beds are wood so they are not as squeaky and shaky as some metal bunk beds I've used.

Nice hostel in Nagoya. There is free wifi, big kitchen. Dorm room I was in was pretty small but clean. Only one shower. Only two toilets and only one western-style, so often you have to wait in the morning to go to toilet. Staff is very helpful, will give you maps and all info. The location is not very good, although not very bad. Not close to Nagoya station but close to Kanayama, which is also one of main stations.

I loved this hostel. It was incredibly welcoming and easy to get to from the airport. Even though I arrived late on a rainy night after they had closed, Ann was still there and welcomed me and got me settled after a long and exhausting trip from Russia. I ended up staying an extra night...and the day I left, she was again generous as I had not realized check out was at 11am...and she did not rush me to leave by noon. Thanks!

Positives: Staff friendly and welcoming Negatives: Booked on hostel world for a specific date, my reservation had been put into their diary for the night before. Luckily they weren't fully booked when arrived. Tricky to locate, no signs. Room had a damp aroma. Only one shower for the first floor - not worth the money in comparison to other hostels stayed in.

Great place with all the facilities you could ask for- kitchen, laundry, and a spacious common room with wifi and a computer. Staff were very friendly and helpful! Will stay again when I come back to Nagoya. Lockers in the room would be nice, though I guess Japan is a pretty safe place.

Ann is delightful. Very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. Nice staff. Nice characterful rooms. The Japanese toilet is fun---all those strange buttons to play with. My advice is to try and avoid getting the room next to the Japanese toilet though, when guests arrive back late they all flush it creating a terrific woosh sound that reverberates through the wall; same issue early in the morning too. There is only one shower-- very roomy but one at a time -- so it is best to get in early.

The only "negative" thing I can say about this hostel is, that it's not really centrally located. But you can rent a bicycle for 300 yen a day, which is - compared to the subway ticket - pretty cheap! Other than that, great atmosphere, nice staff, very clean and cozy common room.

This hostel is in a charming part of the town but it is a little on the periphery. The hotel owners are a couple with a baby which means they are keeping the place spotless. It has good social areas.

Excellent service at this hostel. I had such a great time here. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would have liked the location to be closer to Nagoya Station or Sakae but it was still convenient.
