When the staff is a guy, then the friendliness became lesser. We lost for 2 hours just to find this place using GPS via Telephone number and postcode. Lastly, we found it using google maps (paid data roaming).

Had a rough time finding this hostel and sadly the hostel didn't have much character. However, the couple were nice and helpful.

The best place to stay in Nagoya. Everyone was so friedly, the living room is big enough for everyone and make you feel like chatting with everyone, there is a TV so you can discover Japan with TV, there are both japanese and western style toilets. This place looks like a real japanese house so it's very fun inside and you feel like staying in Japan. Staff is very helpful and kind, the hostel is near everything and so peaceful, in a peaceful place, I'll come back for sure !

A great place - the staff were very helpful and friendly. Free tea and coffee available as well as free internet. The rooms are really nice too. There is only 1 shower but it was quiet when we were there so it didn't matter. A great little place!

This was our second stay at Hostel Ann, and we always have a great time there. The rooms are comfortable, the atmosphere is friendly, and I especially love the shower! Great water pressure! (I have very poor water pressure at home so this is always a treat for me!) The English speaking staff is friendly and helpful and we always meet fellow travelers in the common room and end up hanging out with them. It's a hreat place to stay next time you're in Nagoya!

The hostel was very cozy and it was styled very pretty! Unfortunately, as it was winter, it was cold in the hostel (except in your room if you set the heating on). There was only one shower and western toilet in the whole house, that was a minus. In total we were quite pleased to our stay, as the staff was very helpful! Thank you, we enjoyed our stay in Nagoya!

The rooms are very clean, there are free lockers to store things and everyone was very kind! The location isn't GREAT, but it's not bad either. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice big kitchen, really quiet when I was there, good showers but the room was freezing! The heater only keeps the top bunks warm so maybe a space heater on the floor would help. The reception closes really early so when I went ask them if I could turn the heater up, no one was there. But the hostel was really clean and the staff was great!

The owner, Ann, is extremely friendly. In addition, the room to watch TV and the computer, is of the perfect size. This allows people to interact easily with the other people who are staying in the hostel. The atmosphere of the hostel is very peaceful as well, and ths hostel is located in a very quiet and easily accessable place. The hostel size is very perfect as well, not too big and not too small, as are the rooms.

Ann was excellent. It was a little difficult to ask sightseeing questions to the Taiwanese guy because his English wasn't so good. I enjoyed the Christmas dinner party. The set-up of the 8 bed dorm with 2 doors was good because it made it feel more cozy like a 4 bed dorm. The bunk beds are wood so they are not as squeaky and shaky as some metal bunk beds I've used.
