I wouldn't do it again unless our room was nowhere near the entrance hall. The window was in the hallway which meant the light streamed in at night, everyone that walked by or spoke in the lobby, their voices echoed. It was hard to sleep. The bed squeaked and sounded like It would fall apart at any moment. The staff was nice and facilities too, but I wouldn't do it again.

This is one of the best hostels I've stayed at in Costa Rica. It feels more like a casual resort than a hostel. Right when you walk in they offer you a free welcome drink (with alcohol or not). I immediately relaxed in a hammock in their tranquil garden. The rooms are clean and the beds are nice. It was great to have AC too! The only down side was that my room (14) overlooked a steelyard that started making a noise each day starting around 8AM. Other rooms had less noise though.

Noisy guests and really small bathroom...

Great hostel in an ideal location. Staff couldn't have been more helpful! Rooms were clean and had air conditioning. Communal area with hammocks were lovely. Also had use of the pool and restaurant at the sister hotel which is a great extra.

Nice hostel very well located right in the center of the town. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but quite big and clean. Nice garden and little bar. The only thing we didn't like: having to wear a bracelet during the entire stay (apparently for security purpose). Otherwise, nice stay! We would definitely stay there again.

Great hostel and fantastic staff - so helpful and friendly, they really go above and beyond. Highly recommend them. Also check out the Lava Lounge bar/restaurant opposite - great food, sangria and also really friendly staff. The owner also runs a street dog rescue centre, so a really great place to support.

Awesome hammocks! Wonderful staff, and great bartender - super friendly.

Good feel, only stayed two nights but seemed like a great place to be if backpacking and staying for a while. All tours are easy to book at close by locations (see Jackie blocks over to the right for booking excursions)

The host Jessica and her staff were amazing and extremely helpful. They quickly checked us in and helped us understand our options to do some fun activities right away. They were great throughout our time in La Fortuna to help us book tours, understand directions, hold our bags for us after check-out, etc. The hostel was very clean, comfortable, and secure with a great chill vibe and atmosphere. Thanks Jessica!

Don't book any tours here. We did and the tour operator ( Exploradores Outdoors) changed our trip due to high water levels. They said we would get a refund from the hostel, and I was pleasantly surprised to immediately receive an email from the hostel asking for our details to refund the money. HOWEVER we still have not seen a single cent they owe us, they keep saying they are about to refund it but it never happens. VERY UNHAPPY about this.

The staff was very helpful in planing anything we wanted to do And made sure we were getting the best price doing it. Would recommend it to any one visiting la fortuna

The bartender was the best!! So funny and talkative.

A nice hostel with access to the sister hostel for a pool if you want it. Comfy beds, good clean kitchen, lockers in room, good showers. Staff were nice. Welcome drink is good. I would stay here again.

I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect stay! Staff is so friendly and helpful. They are new in the hostel and it was seen that there are some new arrangements. They care about each visitor. I planned to stay for a two nights, but stayed for four. Rooms are clean and the place is cozy. Nice common area. Location is in the center of the down, but enough privet and quiet for a sleep. Kitchen includes all the things what you need for preparing a meal. And they have a nice barman who will make you a welcome drink! Love the place!
