Great place to stay. We were supposed to be in a 5 bed dorm, but she put us in a private room with 2 double beds. The courtyard area was charming with the water fountain feature & various hammocks to relax in. There was a kitchen area that was stocked with everything you'd need for meals, as well as a large fridge. Close walk to excursion companies, restaurants, a market, and ATM. Beautiful views of the volcano from right out front. Don't get it confused with the other 2 similarly named hostels!

Everything was great except there seemed to be some mold or mildew on the walls which you could see and smell. Other than that everything was good. Loved the hammocks in the back.

This was a clean and simple place to stay in La Fortuna. The hostel is nothing fancy, but there are hammocks to lounge around in and coffee to make anytime. The resort hostel down the street that you have access to when you book through here is okay, but the pool is quite small. Overall, I liked staying here.

Dirty dirty dirty. The kitchen was appauling, as were the bathrooms (well, the one that worked anyhow). Although the rooms lock, it is by padlock from the outside. Ok in principal, until you get locked in your room and have to wait for someone to let you out. Not good if you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. We have stayed in many many hostels, and have a good idea what to expect. This hostel, unfortunately has been the poorest experience we have ever had.
