If you like to go out in Namba, this is the place! No better location if you just want a bed. And that is just what you get... a bed... there is no room for anything else in the dorm. The recepionist is helpful and frendly, but overworked.

It was cheap but not good value. The rooms were so small I couldn't get out of my bed without falling into the curtains of the next bunk. They actually cut a corner out of my bed so that it could fit in the room. The lounge was so small that it was useless, same with the kitchen. Would not recommend it for a solo traveller, or anyone who wants to spend any time in the hostel. Have to give credit to the location though.

Best location you can find in Osaka. Just a few step to Shinsaibashi and 1 minute walk to subway Namba. Although the space was very small, it's ok if you just want to sleep.

No clean sheets! And the guy from staff was always away. The location is good but seeing different kinds of hair everywhere in the bed ruined the stay.

Easy going staff, safe area, close to the metro, easy to get around. Recommended for all travelers. PS - there are bars that stay open till 0800.

The hostel was really great, clean and the location was perfect for both the peolle who look for party and those who just want sightseeing. But I have to say that the rooms are very crowded, with little light. The owner is an awesome guy that helps a lot but sometimes he just disappear during reception hours and that really annoying...I would still reccomend this hostel to my friends

I loved my stay in Hostel Base Point. The staff was amazing, Kohei is a great guy and was not only helpful in giving advice, but also went out with us, we had a hot pot party with Japanese card games and I was taught some Japanese words and phrases! Saikoo! The location of the hostel is great, easy to reach from the airport and very central and close to Dotonbori, the center of action in Osaka. There are plenty of food places around as well so it's really convenient to stay there.

Cool hostel. The rooms were really cramped, but everything else was okay. The dude working there was very cool and friendly. If you can deal with the lack of space this place is great.
