good location 1 block from the beach, not far from the shops and a great Taco place. Great shower could fit a family in there

We stayed in room #3: we woke up with bites all over. We are talking patented bed bug infestation. This place is teeming with bed bugs, breakfast, lunch and dinner bites for those who know. Until they sort that out, steer clear. Location and ambiance is fine, assuming your appetite for itchiness.

We paid less than $200 for two people to stay for two weeks, so you certainly can't beat the price. The staff was amazing. I left my iphone in the bathroom and it was promptly returned to me. Also, a police officer was shaking me down and the owner of the hostel came to my defense and sorted everything out for me. The bathrooms are cleaned thoroughly everyday. There's free wi-fi that is fast and reliable. Perfect location in the middle of San Juan del Sur. We'll definitely stay here again.

Nice little hostel, helpful staff, rooms quite comfortable. And the shop next door sells choco-bananas!! Only problem: the way to close the rooms, with a locker outside and a lock inside, isn't a good idea. If someone wants to go to sleep after its roommates, he needs to awake them so they can unlock from inside or they need to go to bed without locking the room for the one who stayed up to enter... It would be interesting to invest in some proper locks! But anyways, nice place!
