I got a single private room for two nights, Room , Staff, every thing is good. But only thing here is location, in term of secure, Im not recommended for women who travel alone. Girl on the desk was v friendly and the communal areas were well-maintained and decorated, but our room was shabby by comparison - the toilet seat was broken, there was mould round the bath and dirt on the walls. Other rooms may be fine, but room 406 needs a bit of renovation! Hostel Beautiful 2 was outstanding! We were upgraded for free to a private room (no extra charge) upon checking in. The staff was wonderful! We had breakfast brought to our room each morning (breakfast in bed!) and the staff organized a free dinner for everyone on our third night! Free food and wine in Rome! The elevator/stairway area is a common stairway for the building (dark & dirty) Look past this- the secure area of the hostel is very clean, safe and modern. 1 minute walk to Termini. Stayed for 3 nights and were upgraded to private with ensuite. Room was great but there was an awful smell eminating from the ensuite for most of the first day and night. Seemed to be a sewage problem, very very bad at one stage. However i told guy at reception and it was sorted after a few hours.
