Lovely stay in a charming house, old and quaint but well maintained and very clean. Great service. Free wifi. Spacious room and cheap considering it's in the centre of town, walking distance to everything. I felt safe and at home. They have lockers not in the room though, and they kept my bags after check out. There are 2 common areas, inside has all utensils including a toaster, micro-wave and kettle. The other one is a beautiful garden area surrounded by big trees where you can sit and relax.
You have to leave your key on a hook if you go out
Very old and the rooms were very musty and smelly, location ok for train but a 20min to half hour walk to beach and old town
Well, I liked that it had a driveway area with outside seating. It was peaceful and felt like a sanctuary, knowing that right out the gate is the city street and a block away, the train station, Gare de Nice Ville. Besides easy access to the train station and a 20 minutes walk to the beach, its close to lots of food. The only issue it security. No lockers in the room, one key for each room is left on a hook in the hall. The only real security is a locked door after the front desk closes.
Lovely staff, and great location for the train station & beaches. Only issue was the heat! Very very hot in the top floor dorm rooms ... no aircon - which I knew when I booked but struggled with there in the peak of summer! Would return though and it was a good hostel.
The lights kept flickering on and off, the wifi barely worked and it's not actually a hostel because the kitchen wasn't available for guest use and there wasn't much of a common area. Also you had to request a fan for your room, I wasn't told this and since there was no air conditioning I was pretty uncomfortable the entire stay.
Hostel was at good place. Shower and toilet and rooms were clean. There are no kitchen, just a microwawe and water heater. You can borrow beach equipment like umbrella and carpet from hostel.
We were disappointed with Belle Meuniere. On arrival we checked in and were told our room was outside. This was clearly an add-on to the orignal building, and was a very narrow "shoebox" - more like a shed. The bathroom window to a room in the actual building opened into our room, which is quite disgusting really. We would not stay there again.
I had a really nice stay in the hostel. First it was pretty awkward, that there is only one key for each room, but I arranged and my roommates also did. It was very clean, the staff was flexible and okay, sometimes a little too cold. There was only one thing which really disturbed me. They took my roommate's stuff and put it in another room without telling her. I would have gone crazy, if my stuff suddenly disappeared. Nevertheless I enjoyed my time in Nice and in the hostel.

We were told that we did not qualify for free breakfast because we booked online, so be careful about that. The staff were sometimes not at the reception counter. No wifi in the rooms. They do not have lockers, but they do offer to keep your valuables in a bag behind the counter if you feel unsafe. Every bathroom spelled strongly of public toilet as well. Located right by the train station which was convenient and a 15 min. walk to the very rocky beach.
