There was a rubbish atmosphere and even though it was clean it was pretty shabby. Didn't like it.
Highly reccommend this hostel. We walked around everywhere and very handy to have a huge TESCO next door so you can cook your own meals. Hostel staff were extremely friendly and full of information. Towels were free :)
Staff were excellent, they couldn't help enough. Beds were comfortable. Room a little cramped. Noisy at night with the trams and church opposite (even with ear plugs in) Great location. Overall good stay.
The rooms in the hostel are a mess. There was no space for anything. Other travellers take as much as they want. When I got there I could not even walk. A lot of party and drunk people. The receptionists hang out in the hostel and get drunk. They do funny things. One guy was looking at me for a while and almost fall over me at the table. His coworker was just laughing. If I stay somewhere I want respect from the employees. They crossed the line, very unrespectful environment. Don't recommend it.
Fantastic, chilled-out hostel. The staff are very friendly and helpful - especially Diana, which really makes your trip! Great location and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this!
Hostel blues was good. Not amazing, but a good hostel with a fairly good location, and from what we've heard one of the better hostels in Bratislava. Lack of power points in the rooms, and a kitchen that always seemed to be messy and dirty (maybe an inescapable fact due to the large numbers of people using it) were issues for us. There's no breakfast but there's a big supermarket just next door.
A nice place that's a short walk from Bratislava's old town. Good security, friendly staff, bar with live music, decent sized-rooms and plenty of bathrooms and showers. It's pretty clean and comfortable but the walls are paper-thin. You can hear everything in the halls and rooms next to you, and if you get a room that's next to the bathrooms like we did, be prepared to be woken several times in the night by flushing and banging doors.
Great hostel! Everything was super relaxed and the people were all really chill. The room was nice and common areas were clean and comfortable. My only complaint would be that the wifi was iffy in the rooms - working on one side but not on the other - and the common complaint of not enough power outlets. Overall, great stay at one of the best hostels I've come across, thanks!
Was only there for a day, but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful (shoutout to Janke for being such a nice person when I was checking in!) Directions to the hostel was easy enough to follow coming from the train station. Plenty of cafes and supermarkets nearby. Short walk to the old town as well. Rooms were spacious, toilets and showering facilities were ample. Well worth a stay if you´re in Bratislava.
very nice people ... the staff ... the best one........
Great hostel, party atmosphere, staff can help show you what to do in Bratislava.
The building is a little old, good location, everybody from de staff are very very nice, very helpful and friendly, Im so happy to met them, definitely they are so good.....
Friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately I had a lot of trouble with the wi fi here along with a few others I spoke to. Needed to upload info for the next city i was visiting and couldn't get it to work. Had to walk to a cafe.
Hostel location was good! A bit far from the train station but close to the old town and all sights. Hostel staff was helpful and friendly. Only issue we had was no air conditioning and we were in Bratislava in a heat wave 38+ degree weather which made it difficult to sleep.
Good location, really quirky and helpful staff. Great use of space with a kitchen and separate dining room, reception and a 'chill out ' room .
Hostel Blues was a great place! I arrived very early and could store my luggage and had a good chat to Andy on reception - he has so much info to give it's amazing! The A/C was good to have in the reception area, (not in rooms) and the wifi occasionally worked in the rooms. Having towels included in the price was a bonus, and the cleaning ladies do a great job. The girls on reception when I checked out were wonderful too - and helped rebook my bus to Budapest when it didn't show up.
Staff was amazing, literally everyone there was super-helpful and had a great attitude. That goes a long way in my book.
