Very friendly and overly helpful staff. Gave us some great tips for walks around the area. Nice rooms with a great view. Plenty of hot water. Good value for money breakfasts and they allow you to bring your own and use their cutlery. All the frills you'd generally expect. Overall a great hostel and a great experience.

This hostel is fantastic. The staff were very fun and make you feel at home. Brekkie is not included, but they do a great meal for only a few euro. It was a great place to meet other travellers, I even made a few new friends. Location is awesome as well...just a stroll down to the beach...even though it is like 700 stairs, but that's Positano for you! Definitely stay at Brikette for a great time in a clean and fun environment. And the drink specials are awesome as well. I miss it there!

We wish they had a bigger hot water tank. After about four people there was never any hot water left and the hostel was full of people.

Nice hostel with friendly, helpful staff. Unfortunately no hot water our entire stay, room also wasn't made up when we arrived. Lovely staff and great bar/ outdoor balcony area. Overall we weren't impressed with cleanliness though.

The staff was great in answering our questions and even just for small talk. The main level includes great internet connection and a balcony terrace overlooking the water. The location is a little far from the beaches but the workout from the stairs was excellent. I would recommend this if you are ok with a dorm experience. It was better than a university dorm in the US and we were supposed to stay with 6 other women but ended up only one other women stayed with us. Also the bar had great prices

Unfortunately my time in Hostel Brikette was not that wonderful due to a person who was snoring in the 8 room dorm. I moved rooms during the night and ended up paying 100 euro for my 1 night stay, as the hostel doesn't refund you for the nights you don't use. The dorm room itself was stuffy, didn't have a window and the beds were very uncomfortable. I wouldn't stay in the dorms here again, and if the private room is 60 euro, you might as well pay an extra 20 euro for a nice hotel.

Actually a very nice hostel in a beautiful location with nice staff. However the rule to leave the room between 10:30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. is really ridiculous. You can't even enter a room if you forgot your towel, they are indeed really strict about it. And everything cost extra, lockers, towels, breakfast, leaving your luggage if you've checked out... so be prepared to pay for almost everything extra. My 8 bed dorm was a way too small as well...

I had a great time at this Hostel. Great friendly staff and people. Beautiful view off amazing deck. We had a family style dinner made from some guy who lives up the hill. For 8 Euros he made a huge group of us home made pasta, bread, wine. It was awesome! Can't say enough good things about this place. Right next to the Bus that brings you into Positano as well.

Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. Our only complaints are that we were staying in the large dorm, which feels like you are sleeping in the lobby/bar area, as the door doesn't fully close, and that although the website says there are lockers there were no lockers in our room.

Air-con in private room was excellent! Friendly and accommodating staff who provided info. on everything. Bus-stop only 5min walk away for buses going to town or further up/down Amalfi coast. Definitely go to Fornillo beach (not main beach) as more tranquil and away from everything and discount on sun loungers/deck chairs. Loved the outside patio/bar area and they make a great mojito!! Be prepared for ALOT of steps in Positano, not for fainthearted! Only downside was you had to pay for breakfast

The location, view, and our private balcony can't be beat! We had a private room for 4 people and while the size of the room and balcony were great, we had a major ant problem, and the bathroom smelled like mold due to the fact that every time you shower the floor floods. The owner came to our room the first night with ant spray, but the problem continued all 4 days we were there. The breakfast is nothing great, but very easy and cheap so worth it. I would stay again, but with lower standards

Having lost our directions, we were able to find hostel brikette via a handy sign by the bus stop. We were greeted by Cosmo & Ricky who were great hosts and very welcoming. We stayed in a double room - the size was great, the price excellent for Positano & we had everything we needed. The only downers were the shower room which didn't lock, the shower railing fell off and the basin filled up quickly. The toilet seat wasnt secured but if you can handle those things then no problem, stay here!

I had originally booked for 2 nights, and ended up staying 6. What can I say....this hostel might be the only one in town, but it truly is the best! We had a great time in Positano, and we absolutely loved this place. The couple that work the front (and pretty much run the hostel most of the time when the owner is not there herself) - Cosimo & Ashleigh - were amazing! They were very helpful and a lot of fun and made some excellent recommendations. Loved Brikette!

We were very put off by the fact that upon arrival our room stunk of mold. We later found mold all along the floor board. We reported it and nothing was done about it. However, given the strength of the smell and how visible the mold was it is impossible that the hostel staff were unaware of the problem. PersonallI feel they didn't care nor do they realize the potential health risk this presents. We were very interested in spending another 2 night in positano but decided not to because of mol

Seems as if it depends on which room you get...mine was not so good. Was very cramped and people were sleeping in the kitchen area. Luckily we had a good group of people so it was a fun time overall. Location was excellent however.
