Hostel Carlos Gardel Reviews

No air condition in private room, just a cross the streat in a shared lounge. So nights were hard to sleep. Showers, toilets were clean, but we stayed a week and our room were never cleaned even not a trash bin! Staff were not helpful. If they didn´t know something they just not bothered to google it. Just two shared computers for guest use, not enough for big hostel. Breakfast was for nothing, we ended up to eat somewere else.

This hostel was average especially on atmosphere. The staff were helpful but not really friendly, especially the staff in the evening and at night. The building was very cool. I liked the lofted kitchen. Kitchen was seriosly lacking but perhaps this is more cultural than anything. I wouldn't really go out of my way to reccomend this hosstel but i wouldn't disuade someone either.

It was a fun hostel to stay in. Mostly quiet at night except for some street noise on the weekends. The lobby and kitchen etc..are in a separate entrance from the dorms so people can hang out in the lobby and the dorms are usually quiet. San Telmo is a great neighborhood. A lot of restaurants and bars etc...

A couple of teething problems with changing rooms from dorm to a double for one of the nights, but overall a really friendly and helpful hostel. Great location in the heart of San Telmo, would recommend.

Good Location in the heart of San Telmo, nice lobby and good security measures. Unfortunately the matresses were quite bad and the room and the linens smelt like french fries dryer...

Staff is really nice and helpfull. Anything you need? they will work figure something out!

A lovely hostel! It was super clean. There was a nice relaxed atmosphere and staff were very friendly. There was a separate building across the road for private rooms which had nice balcony areas. The downside was that in the private rooms building there is a kitchen area but this is not for use by guests. Overall though a very good experience!

Great hostel! 2nd time I has been there and liked it even better this time! Certainly would recommend to others! The double rooms are great

No privacy in private rooms. Large entrance hall makes echo and everything can be heard at all times of day.

We had a private room with a shared bathroom and it was a good option. The bathrooms were renovated which was really nice. The breakfast needs some improvement though...it was just bread, dulce de leche, jam and coffee. Something that dissappointed us a little bit was the fact that the generally friendly and helpful staff, forgot to call a taxi for us to go at the airport and we got stressed at the last moment.
