We had a wonderful stay at Hostel Carlos Gardel. The rooms are clean and well-kept and we were lucky enough to have one that looked out onto the balcony. The bathrooms, although shared, are extremely clean and there is plenty of hot water. The staff was very friendly and after a long early flight they allowed us to check in early with all of our luggage. Great value for the money and located in a wonderful neighborhood!

The hostel was great. The rooms are very confortable. The only bad thing was the thin doors, which did not block any sound people made in the common area of the hostel.

Just a nice place close to many restaurants. Staff doesn't speak English but is friendly and helpful

The hostel's location was great, very cozy atmosphere and warmful staff. My only complains are about the wifi signal that was very poor at the second floor and stop working for a couple of days. Besides that, I don't recommend the rooms without window, it gets very warm and smelly if you don't leave the door open each day for a while. In my room neither the air conditioning (for which I paid more) nor the fan were working. That was has but it wasn't the end of the world, since it was winter.

A very nice but quiet hostel. The rooms and bathrooms are all modern and well kept and it has possibly the best shower in South America. The price is excellent! San Telmo is a little quieter than the other neighborhoods however it is a 15 minute walk to microcentre and from there easy to take transport.
