Very nice hostel! Easy going staff, near the main square, bus stop and market just a few steps away from the hostel.

Good location-10min by walk from Trg B.Jelacica, which is the main square.Quiet n safe area, market nearby. Staff was very helpful n entertaining:)))Small n cosy,you feel like at home:)Alternative, independent, cool..highly recommended...You can drink, smoke n socialize..

it was clean hostel with comfortable beds, small but everything somehow fitted very nice people work in this place, they were very helpful with all requests, thx. I had a great time at Carpe Diem, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Dom and Vedran will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Not the worst hostel I've stayed in, but certainly nowhere near the best. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which was the only positive point of the stay.
We paid for a 6 person dorm, but extra beds had been showed in there so it was incredibly packed and hot in the room. Another 10 or so people were allowed to camp in the back garden increasing the number of guests considerably. This wouldn't have been too bad except it meant there were 2 showers for 30 guests.

We were only there for one night so we did not really get a feel for the place. This is probably the sketchiest place I've ever stayed. Beyond being tiny and dirty, the morning staff guy was rude and they blasted the most abhorrent techno trance music all. day. long.
