Quiet hostel, clean and good internet access and wifi. Good laundry facilities and kitchen. Breakfast not so good. Handy for wine tours buses, not so much for Mendoza centre. We had a number of incidents with snatching of belongings in Plaza Independencia and just generally in the street in Mendoza itself so care should be taken!

Don't stay here! "Renovated"- maybe 30 years ago. Everything is very old and dingy, leaky bathrooms, toilets wouldn't flush (no toilet paper most of the time, anyway). Night porter just left so people were locked in or out for long stretches of time (no way to escape in an emergency!). Couldn't sleep 2 out of 3 nights as nightclub nearby played loud music until 6am - ruined our stay in Mendoza. No fan/aircon. Staff ignores everything, including complaints ("Pah."), no matter in which language.

Casa del Sol was perfect for me...very nice staff, secure and close to the center of Mendoza and the bus station and bus stops! Road noise made it hard to sleep, but that is because i am a country girl..not used to the city. Use of the kitchen and courtyard was nice!

This hostel is close to the main bus station and about 15 min walking to the downtown center. The good thing is, they have a "washing mashine" you can use for free. The bathroom and the room though were not that clean. All in all it is ok for the money.

The staff was very nice and helpful. They lent us the card for the bus and told us directions. We could use the kitchen at all times, there's a washing machine, internet, tv with dvd's
